deadair Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I don't think they were at Voodoo 2006. I'm positive they played Voodoo 2004 though because I've seen a video of them playing "Hitchin A Ride" from that show on YouTube.

east cc nowhere Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Do Mike and Tre smoke? I dont know if either of them do, but I remember in Riding in Vans With Boys, Tre bought a bunch of skull ash holders? Unless they were for decorative purposes I think that means he smokes - or maybe he just bought them for the hell of it
-Billiejoezee- Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 You know those shoes billie's been recently wearing on tour? What Brand are they?
east cc nowhere Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Yes, but it sounds like he says some other line as well that I can't make out. not sure if this is the bit your talking about but I think it goes (whats in brackets is being said at the same time) remember, whatever, it seems like forever ago, remember, whatever, it seems like forever ago then at the same time: remember (the regrets) whatever (are useless in my mind, ) it seems like forever ago (shes in my head, I must confess) remember (the regrets) whatever (are useless in my mind, ) it seems like forever ago (shes in my head, from so long ago ) go go go go *duhn duhn duhn duhn duhn duhn duhn * go go go go *duhn duhn duhn duhn duhn duhn duhn * did that help at all?
Trina Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Oh, does anyone know anything about Mutron Jam, Heroin Pop I & II and those other songs..? Like were they recorded for a specific album or one that was never released, etc?! Any info would be cool. With Haushinka, I always thought it was about a Japanese girl he met at like, Gilman or a house party or something and then he never seen her again. (Although for some reason the penpal thing seems to ring a bell as well...I think that might be a different girl though?) Obviously he didn't meet her in Japan since it was wrote back in the early 90's.. My take on Cigarettes and Valentines is that the band (especially Billie Joe) just kinda freaked out and got cold feet...didn't want to release these songs so they done away with them and pretended they were stolen as an excuse to the record label, etc. I don't think we've really heard any of the songs besides Too Much Too Soon (if it is true that it was on it).. It was 100% not Money Money 2020 though!! From what I've read I don't think Blood Rage was one of Green Day's old names. It was a different band that Billie was in when he was like 13 or 14 - a really bad heavy metal type of band (which explains the name ). I know but I'd still count them as early Green Day names. I guess because it was both Billie and Mike.. I dunno though, it probably doesn't really count but I'm just looking for any names they used for any of their bands. Blood Rage is just so epically bad. You know those shoes billie's been recently wearing on tour? What Brand are they? I would say they're custom made.. This question has been asked before and I think people could make out a little brand name on the back of them but I can't remember what it was, sorry.
Juliette Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Ohh I knew about the shoes, can't remember what brand it is atm...

Heather! Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 it seems like forever ago (shes in my head, from so long ago ) Ahhh yeah, that's what I was trying to figure out. Thanks!

Trina Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 What the fuck are those? They're song titles that were listed on the Warner Chappell site a while back. The names themselves have been known of for a good while apparently, cause people said so when I made a thread about them a while back..No-one really knew anything about them though. :\ I think there were maybe 1-3 more titles, I just can't remember them. Just hoping someone has some info!

I'm positive they played Voodoo 2004 though because I've seen a video of them playing "Hitchin A Ride" from that show on YouTube. Okay, 'cause I came across a picture on here somewhere of Mike & Trè and as the caption or something it said: "voodoo festival backstage"
darenmay Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 which has sold more, Dookie or American Idiot? so far American Idiot is the most successful album, true or false?
Peace and Rainbows Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I think ameican idiot did sell more but i'm not entirely sure
Imke! Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Wikipedia says http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_idiot Since its release, American Idiot has sold over 14 million copies worldwide. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dookie#Release as of 2007, Dookie had sold over 15 million copies worldwide and remains the band's best-selling album.
darenmay Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 ^thanks for that! so dookie is a million ahead of american idiot. but maybe A.I. will be able to match that as it continues to sell.. as i was reading the wiki articles, i came along this: Kathleen Hanna – guest vocals ("Letterbomb") which part is that? i don't recall having heard a girl's voice in letterbomb.

It's the "nobody likes you.." part before the guitar starts.
ethanzh Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 My question is, People say 21CB is Green Days 9th studio album. I counted all their albums and came up with 10. Why dont they count Shenanigans as a album???
Juliette Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Because its a compiltion of bsides, not a proper album.
Eirik Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 My question is, People say 21CB is Green Days 9th studio album. I counted all their albums and came up with 10. Why dont they count Shenanigans as a album??? Well, people are wrong. 21st Century Breakdown is Green Day's 8th studio album.

Why dont they count Shenanigans as a album??? neither shenanigans nor international superhits! count as albums, because they're compilations of other songs.
