E!!i Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 you're welcome and WTF your boyfriend?! he did it for many years but now he realized that it isn't so good cause it's illegal and it's his computer
farley drexel hatcher Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Dreamcatcher and Stay The Night are up on GDA for download. Guess they got the green light or something, I don't know, but I think that means it's allowed on GDC as well. Really? That's interesting. I thought Billie was all upset the songs had even leaked.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Really? That's interesting. I thought Billie was all upset the songs had even leaked. I thought that too, but they're on there and unless it just slipped under the radar, Andres or Matt or whoever constructed that part of the site wouldn't just put something on there they knew the band doesn't want out, so I don't know.
AleKerplunk Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Hi guys. i have a really big questions since a while. On the Fox Threater concert, they played ¿Viva la Gloria? and in one part, on the guitar solo. Billie started to speak on a different language, i think is italian. i wonder: what he said? please!

Hey! I guess someone else had the same question a few pages back. Hope this helps It's Italian. I have no idea what the first line is but the second is "musica bella é la lingua de dio" which means "Beautiful music is the language of god." I've only been doing Italian for a year so I'm probably not very reliable I'd try to find an Italian GDCer to see what he's saying because I can't make out the first line at all.
drumstick Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 does anyone remember how much before the shows they announced that they will play those small clubs in Europe last year?
AleKerplunk Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Hey! I guess someone else had the same question a few pages back. Hope this helps THANK YOU SO MUCH! and also, thanks to Ellenkc ^^

HeißblütigerPinguin Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I know, it's not totally Green Day related, but how much does a broadway main role actor (especially when working for American Idiot, The Musical) earn?
sara_gd Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I actually meant a link to download it from a site where somebody has uploaded it but my boyfriend's gonna kill me but thx You can rip the audio from the video on this site (if your boyfriend doesn't kill you for that )
B.Good Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I know, it's not totally Green Day related, but how much does a broadway main role actor (especially when working for American Idiot, The Musical) earn? They get paid by week and not by year (broadway actors only have yearly contracts). The base pay according to Actor's Equity is $1653/week (averages about $86,000 a year if you do all 52 weeks). However, this pay can be increased depending on your role and what you do on stage. A lead role might make 1686/week (~$87,600 for 52 weeks). Others who get raises are those who understudy or have to do stunts on stage (such as being on the fly system). 10% of the salary goes to Agents usually and 10% usually goes to each of your managers. So a normal minimum-wage actor with an agent and a manager will earn $1,322.4/week (about $68,000 over 52 weeks). Hope this helps.
sara_gd Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 What inspired you to write Wake me up when September ends? I wrote the lyrics when my father died. But the video is another thing: Samuel Bayer came up with the idea of acting out somehow the war of Irak. He told us that he himself asked a few soldiers “what makes you want to join the army?” It seems that the 80% of them said “well, you know, we saw that army advertisment on TV...” and the rest is more about the video and the direction they wanted to take and so on. Is this true? have you heard anything about it before? (Credit to Irati Martinez for the photo)

sara_gd Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Are you asking about Billie's motivations for writing the song? or if the statement about why soldiers joined the army was true? I'm asking if the part I bolded, where it says that he wrote the song when his father died, is/can be true. I wrote the rest to have a reference of the interview, not just 8 isolated words.

sara_gd Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 I would say that something got lost in translation from "I wrote it about my father passing" to "I wrote it when my father died" personally. Maybe he said: "I wrote it about when my father died" and the journalist understood "I wrote it about my father when he died". (?) Because there's no possible misinterpretation in "la escribí cuando murió mi padre". Yeah, that's probably it
Florence Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Hey guys! You know Billie was wearing a black party dress with a pinkish kind of trim at a Pinhead Gunpowder show at Gilmans. I was wondering if I could buy that dress somewhere on the net. Does anyone have an idea?

I think the interviewer made the mistake.. unless that's what you're saying! EDIT: Nvm, I saw the other post.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that even if I hadn't seen that at the time, the entire forum knows about it because of that message thing that was on the top of the page for days and days and everyone trying to get the songs "undercover" anyway It's on GDA. Go look for yourself. http://www.greendayauthority.com/music/ If you're going to remove it, could you find out who posted it on there and what the reasons were? I'd like to know whether it was just a slip or purposefully put there.

You can hear me at the end saying 'Sounds like they're Jamming' and Kerry saying 'this is gold'

The Platypus! Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Is there any difference between the start of "21st Century Breakdown" and "See The Light" I mean before the drum comes in or when Billie starts singing?
Velocity Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Is there any difference between the start of "21st Century Breakdown" and "See The Light" I mean before the drum comes in or when Billie starts singing? I don't think so, except the beginning of See the Light is sped up a bit compared to 21st Century Breakdown.
