Insomniac Jesus Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Does anyone anywhere remember a television show during 1993 that showed Green Day? Well, there was an old Jimmy Kimmel episode that Green Day appeared on...Not sure if that's what you're thinking of though.
XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I heard somewhere that Billie wrote Murder City on the way to go surfing. Is that true? Just wondering.
pasalaska Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I heard somewhere that Billie wrote Murder City on the way to go surfing. Is that true? Just wondering. I've not heard that He did write it last minute though, right when the album was almost ready to be launched. When I met Larry Livemore, he said the real reason why John left was because he wasn't able to play the kind of material Mike and Billie were writing. So they needed a better drummer, hence Tre. xD The whole "going to college" thing was probably just a rumor. hmmm interesting. I love Larry's interesting facts. He gave us a few when we met him in Glasgow. amazing guy.

Nic Cool Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Hey everyone, Its not really clear to me if Ryan Ruby Mae was born on Nov 28 or Nov 29? One website says this, other websites say that.. I don't know anymore Who knows for sure?? Greetsz Nic
pasalaska Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Do share? alot of it was stuff that most people already know, like the story of them playing to 5 people in that house with no electricity, when Larry decided to sign them I did learn, however, the 'One For The Razorbacks' is actually a typo. It's meant to be 'One For The Razorback' 'The Razorback' was a girl, and the song was written for/about her. Apparently Billie was a bit pissed off about it, because it made it sound like it was dedicated to the American Football team. aaand if you listen to the interview on the CD-rom enhanced version of 1039/SOSH, Mike introduces the song as 'One For The Razorback' pretty cool, no? I thought it was. Hey everyone, Its not really clear to me if Ryan Ruby Mae was born on Nov 28 or Nov 29? One website says this, other websites say that.. I don't know anymore Who knows for sure?? He used to lit his drumkit on fire at the end of the shows during the Warning (?) era, so I suppose he caught on fire that way. I don't know about any specific (other) occasions, but others probably do
E!!i Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Maybe this is a stupid question but after the question of the pronouncing of Going to Pasalacqua I just wondered how you pronounce the name Green Day? I pronounce it like this: GREEN Day, so I mean I pronounce the first syllable but I heard people pronouncing the second syllable so I don't know if I'm right
Katarina. I pronounce it like this: GREEN Day, so I mean I pronounce the first syllable but I heard people pronouncing the second syllable so I don't know if I'm right The band themselves pronounce it like GREEN Day, I think that's the way it's supposed to be pronounced. It's how I always say it anyway.

pasalaska Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Oh I'm sorry, is that not allowed to make your font bold? But thank you for your answer. Xx the point of bold, itallics, colour, etc is to make certian parts of your sentence stand out. like this, or this, or this. it gets really annoying and hard to read if everyone's text is different from post to post. We can all see your post, so there's no need to change the text unless you're using it to emphasise a point. make sense?

Again, I'm sorry, I'm new here I use bold letters on my hyves pages all the time so I guess it just goes automatically for me

Eirik Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I heard somewhere that Billie wrote Murder City on the way to go surfing. Is that true? Just wondering. Billie wrote that song after some incident happened in Oakland. I don't remember exactly what happened, but I think it might have been a shootout.

The full news clip starts at 0:55 EDIT: It was called the BART shooting

Kilgores Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Hy! I don't really even know if I wanna be idiot club member, I just have to pay 20$ and it's okay? Or I have to pay an entry fee + the year fee? Can you help me, please?

Or I have to pay an entry fee + the year fee? Can you help me, please? I advise you not to join the Idiot Club. All you'll get for your money is a forum (which is nowhere near as good as GDC), and a couple of contests where you might win some Green Day merchandise. There's no exclusive photos, video and audio like it says on the sign up page, that's just a lie. As far as I can see the band doesn't do anything for the Idiot Club - they haven't in the last 2 years since I've been a member anyway. Sometimes it's worth joining if Green Day are touring so you can get presale tickets and early entry to shows, or if you live near New York there's cool American Idiot musical related contests. But since they're not touring it's really not worth it, unless you don't mind paying $20 just for a forum and the tiny chance of winning some vinyl or something like that in a contest.

It was chaos man..About the IC, not even the Pre Sale seats are good. I got the shittiest seats from them, I got better ones from the fuckin' AFI presale. I'd only use IC for Pit tickets.

The best thing the IC did for me this year was early entry in Europe - I won it twice. But apart from that, it's crap.
