Tubbie Head Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 From what I've read I don't think Blood Rage was one of Green Day's old names. It was a different band that Billie was in when he was like 13 or 14 - a really bad heavy metal type of band (which explains the name ). I didn't know about that band! XD
iwroteholdencaulfield! Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 well, once i dunno where, but i saw in a website like 4 years ago that BJ wanted to be a soccer coach when he retired...is that true? it would be pretty cool since i love soccer
LetItBeHappy Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 well, once i dunno where, but i saw in a website like 4 years ago that BJ wanted to be a soccer coach when he retired...is that true? it would be pretty cool since i love soccer now that I think about it, I think that I read that as well. Could it be from a Rolling Stone or something? but I still don't see him retiring xD
Nele Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 you're welcome... Damn you, google, for not having more info I thought it was a band where he and Mike played metal with other people Yeah, according to Kerrang it was a band formed by Mike and Billie (no idea if there were even other people involved) and they did covers of metal bands. xD

Not a clue where I actually read it though.
Heather! Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 that reminded me... what the heck means sting? or is just a made up word by the rev? I wonder this too... Here's a dictionary definition: sting - To pierce or wound painfully with or as if with a sharp-pointed structure or organ, as that of certain insects. The Reverend says it more for emphasis than anything. The way he uses it carries no real meaning.
kerplunk_chick Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 so if the song was written in '92, and they didn't tour in japan until '96, that still leaves me wondering about haushinka...
Rosie May Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 My friend was a Green Day fan before I was, back in 2005 and I remeber once she told me Green Day had an old song called "Masters of Masturbation." Does anyone know what she was on about, 'cause I've never heard of it since.
LetItBeHappy Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 ^ I'm pretty sure your friend was joking. Here's a dictionary definition: sting - To pierce or wound painfully with or as if with a sharp-pointed structure or organ, as that of certain insects. The Reverend says it more for emphasis than anything. The way he uses it carries no real meaning. thanks! also, GREAT AVA
JessicaNicole Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Has anyone else found the hidden pictures on the Insomniac album (skull, 3 fairies, naked woman, & many ghostly faces)? If so, can you tell me where they are located?
TheBasketcase Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Does billie Joe currently have this beard? See here
Micky Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Has anyone else found the hidden pictures on the Insomniac album (skull, 3 fairies, naked woman, & many ghostly faces)? If so, can you tell me where they are located? There was a thread not too long ago and we could found the three skulls only. Sorry, I can't find a bigger pic atm http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/7292/greendayinsomniacwinsto.png The ghostly faces could be hidden in the flames in the background, idk Does billie Joe currently have this beard? See here Nope, that video is some months old. I'm sure it was before the 2010 Tour started
Hermione Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 ^Yeah I'm pretty sure the skulls are the only "hidden" thing there (not that they're particularly well hidden ). I think the rest is just a myth. And yeah that video was filmed in 2007.
farley drexel hatcher Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 so if the song was written in '92, and they didn't tour in japan until '96, that still leaves me wondering about haushinka... Billie has said it was about a girl he met, but he didn't say he met her in Japan, as far as I know. I think that might just be implied. He could have met the girl anywhere. The song was written for Kerplunk, I know that much.
RebelofSuburbia Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I seem to remember reading an interview once where he said he coached kids at his son's school or something? Not a clue where I actually read it though. Yeah I remember reading that too, coaching Jakob's football team.. I think he meant to be an American Football coach btw, not a soccer coach. Not that it matters much, I don't believe he was being that serious
Hermione Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 ^ It was "Little League", whatever that is. I've read him talk about it a few times, he really did it, it wasn't a joke. He coached at his sons' school when they were younger. Here he explained why he stopped: I used to coach Little League, too, until they were 10. Then I was out of my depth. My skill level is that of a decent 11-year-old. Haha
lizziebix Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 ^ It was "Little League" football, whatever that is. I've read him talk about it a few times, he really did it, it wasn't a joke. Hermione Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Little League usually refers to baseball here in the states. But I think he was refering to soccer, not football. Oh I see, I just assumed Little League was football for some reason haha. That makes a lot more sense since we know he plays baseball. As far as soccer there is definitely an interview where he said he liked the idea of being a soccer coach when he retired, but I haven't got a clue what interview it was. That was more just a not-very-serious passing thought of course, he was just saying he quite liked the idea of it. I don't think I've ever heard him say he has coached soccer. Could be wrong though.
LetItBeHappy Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Do Mike and Tre smoke? most likely yes... but I can't find any picture!

~Ani~ Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Do Mike and Tre smoke? I've seen pictures of Mike smoking , not sure about Tre though
Heather! Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I was listening to Whatsername and I can't seem to figure out what Billie's saying in the background at the same time that he says "the regrets are useless in my mind, she's in my head..." does anyone know?
