LetItBeHappy Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Awesome! What an enjoyable way to solve a word puzzle :eyebrow:. Great to finally know what it says, I'm not surprised it's dreaming with the amount of times he's used that word in his lyrics. I like it maybe a new song? :eyebrow:
marie. Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I didn't know where to ask this and I don't expect anyone to know, but I figured I'd try here. 'm going to both the musical matinee (and the talkback afterwards) and the 92Y lecture on Sunday, and I was wondering if it was at all possible if the whole band would be there. You know, since it's the last one and everything, I figured they all might go. Has anyone seen them at the musical or anything? Just merely curious.

I just didn't know if someone had seen them at the musical the last few days, so I figured I'd ask.

jenni Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Hope this is the right place to ask this - do you know what guitar is Billie using during WMUWSE on the Bullet in a Bible DVD? Thanks! According to TheNimrods.com, Billie Joe uses a G6136TSL - Silver Falcon With Bigsby. The information about it are almost at the bottom of the page. (I hope you speak/understand Portuguese, though!) PS: Click on "Equipamentos", and then choose BJ!

Eirik Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Hope this is the right place to ask this - do you know what guitar is Billie using during WMUWSE on the Bullet in a Bible DVD? Thanks! That is the Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins. Billie has removed all the knobs, except for volume and has replaced the pick-ups with P-90s, like the ones he has in his Les Paul Juniors.

HeißblütigerPinguin Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Anyone knows when this was recorded?
Hermione Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Anyone knows when this was recorded? The best thing ever! It was when Mike was interviewed on a radio show called Lowie's Hot 30 Countdown in 2005. If you wanna listen to it the interview and the where babies come from thing are in the downloads section here on GDC. The download links are right near the bottom of the first post: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/Forum/index.php?showtopic=40807
November's Storms Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 A question for drummers in particular: I remember watching or listening to an interview with Tré (don't have a link sorry), but in it he describes his drumming on the American Idiot album as "all he's got" or "as good as he can go" or something like that. Basically saying that is the best drumming he can do. I know he's a fantastic drummer, but I'm just wondering what songs or parts of songs on the album would he be talking about?
Katarina. Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I don't think it deserves a new thread, so here it is: I sometimes buy Green Day merch off this site, and now they're selling this Live CD. I've never seen it before, so my question is: what is this about? Has anyone seen it before, like, what era is it in, what kind of songs does it have? There's no information whatsoever, so I was just wondering if it was new/old etc. Edit: ok I totally forgot to search for it on other sites.. apparently it's from 1994?

There're 13 songs from the recordings from WFMU radio braodcast on May 28, 1992 + 5 fongs from Woodstock + 4 enhanced video track on this CD. But if you already have Green Day Transmissons, don't buy Live On Air, that's the same songs on both CD.

SuzieCreamCheese Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Not a question but I found this and I figured the people that know ALOT about Green Day probably hang out here and they would be the most interested. I watched the movie Amadeus the other day and I thought that I heard that Tom Hulce was involved with american idiot so I looked it up on IMDB and there it is http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1623740/fullcredits looks like it might be planned for a movie

I'm not sure if it got locked, though...

Not that that's a bad thing, just saying. Hopefully if there is a movie, they won't butcher it.

Well, I totally agree with you there - I wish I could go see it - if it comes to Toronto or Chicago I'm there - wait - there's a song there - ummm. - Chicago. . . Toronto. .. . - ummm Chicago - Toronto - nothing - sorry couldn't resist - I didn't buy the soundtrack though - pinching the pennies and thought it might not be worth it - but yeah, I agree with you
