Hermione Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I've seen this quote around (from Billie on stage): "Ladies, if someone touches you and you don’t want them to, feel free to punch them in the fucking face." Anyone know what show he said that at? And if there's video or audio of it?
HeißblütigerPinguin Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 In the Simpsons movie with Green Day they make this Titanic reference, when they take out the violins. I talked about it with my uncle recently and he said that the whole "having a concert on a boat"-thing was a reference to Sex Pistols playing on a boat on the Queens birthday. Is that right?

I don't think so, plenty of bands have preformed on boats/barges. I'm pretty sure it was just a way to introduce the pollution storyline

The story is that the night the Titanic sank, the violinists played while the boat sank. And they went down with the boat.
The Platypus! Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Question: Where was that live video for American Eulogy filmed? I mean this one. I think it was taken from different places throughout the American tour in 2009.
The Platypus! Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Sorry about double post but question: why does Tre in fact most drummers wear shorts when performing live ?
Conspiracy. Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I think it was taken from different places throughout the American tour in 2009. I thought it would've been taken from just one concert, but yeah that makes sense.
klytaemnestra Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Sorry about double post but question: why does Tre in fact most drummers wear shorts when performing live ? i assume it's to prevent getting too hot.
Nele Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Sorry about double post but question: why does Tre in fact most drummers wear shorts when performing live ? As Lily said, it gets too hot and well, I always have the feeling I can move better when I'm just wearing shorts.
LetItBeHappy Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Sorry about double post but question: why does Tre in fact most drummers wear shorts when performing live ? as the two people above me said, is for the hot... and a friend of mine told me that there's a good chance your pant might get stucked in the pedal of the bass drum, so it's better to use shorts
XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Do any live videos or live recordings of any of songs on Shenanigans exist?
The Platypus! Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Do any live videos or live recordings of any of songs on Shenanigans exist? I haven't ever seen one but I would like them to perform one some of the songs from shenanigans live.
St. Banana Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 You know the images they have on massive screen things behind him? There's one with all these tv's? Anyway, does anyone know what I'm talking about and whether there is an actual image of ...this image?

Emilie Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 So HLAHG was played to a few select people in a theatre, like, 5 years ago. Does anyone know how they picked those people? Were they just random lucky members of idiot Club?
St. Banana Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 The background for when they play American Idiot? I have no idea. It's really bad quality..but this is what I'm talking about.

I don't think there is any actual pictures. I'd say the best you get are pictures people have taken at the concerts. So HLAHG was played to a few select people in a theatre, like, 5 years ago. Does anyone know how they picked those people? Were they just random lucky members of idiot Club? It was actually last year on March 25th. It was some thing like if you were an Idiot Club member and you lived in the area you could enter to win tickets and they picked out either 500 random people or it was the first 500 people. It was some thing like that I'm not to sure.

Pretty sure anyone who just messaged John Roecker on his Facebook and asked could go. Either way you were meant to be over 18 and live close enough so obviously that limited the number of eligible people and made it not so difficult to get a ticket.
**She** Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I just came across this quote on GDA and I have no idea what BJ means: "Yeah I've met members of The Who, and "members" of The Who" - Billie Joe Can anyone please explain?
Moffie Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I just came across this quote on GDA and I have no idea what BJ means: "Yeah I've met members of The Who, and "members" of The Who" - Billie Joe Can anyone please explain? He saw Roger Daltry's dick. Hence, "members." BJ was in a sauna and a naked Roger Daltry was there, too.

**She** Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Thank you both so much for explaining and sharing the video. Now I remember that I saw the video before but I totally forgot about it. How could I? It's so hilarious and Billie is really cute when he laughs in the beginning.
