farley drexel hatcher Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Plus they've always had around 12 songs on the albums, the only exceptions I can think of we're Nimrod and the last two
Sixtrix Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Plus they've always had around 12 songs on the albums, the only exceptions I can think of we're Nimrod and the last two Actually, Kerplunk (without the sweet children songs) and Warning had 12 songs. Dookie and Insomniac had 14. Still 12 is a very reasonable amount and makes me very happy
July21 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 you shouldn't forget about bonus tracks! i'm sure there'll be some (e.g. on itunes)
littlegirl-of-suburbia Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Did someone know about this??I'm going to listening now...bought today.. I bought it in germany, it's cool but I like AAF and BIAB more
DannyDirnt Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 And what's the point of bonus tracks? Only leeching money?
Sixtrix Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 And what's the point of bonus tracks? Only leeching money? Well kind of, it is kind of offering something extra to the listener, so that you can decide wether you buy the regular album or the one with the bonus tracks. Usually they release the album in Japan with bonus tracks. Not sure why exactly, I think it is some kind of marketing approach.
Ratchet Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Did someone know about this??I'm going to listening now...bought today.. I have it but I've never listened to it, its just a Green Day-sorta-album that I haven't listened to.

Well, I thought the purpose was to make (making?) you pay for the album twice if you want the bonus tracks. Not that bad. What really sucks is that Japan always gets things upgraded.

Not that I am advocating piracy.

WhiteTim Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Japan gets bonus tracks usually cause cds cost ALOT there
insomniax Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Japan gets bonus tracks usually cause cds cost ALOT there Never thought of that...or never been active enough in my jealousy to be bothered to look up why they get so much stuff. Learns something new everyday !
Malleus Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Was the original title of Stuck With Me ever said? I assume it is not actually Do Da Da.
ThibautDookie Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Was the original title of Stuck With Me ever said? I assume it is not actually Do Da Da. In the song Do Da Da, you can hear the lyrics "She's stuck with me, stuck with me". So the song Do Da Da, was originally called Stuck with Me, but they didn't put it on the record. They decided to call the "Stuck With Me", and after they decided to name it like this because they didn't have any idea. Hope that i answered your question
WalkingContradictionPL Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Was the original title of Stuck With Me ever said? I assume it is not actually Do Da Da. They hadn't got an idea for the title, but they recorded Do Da Da (then called Stuck With Me) and there were words "Stuck With Me". They chose this title for Stuck wit Me on Insomniac and invented new title for the second song, known as Do Da Da. Edit: Too late.

Hope that i answered your question I always thought that it was called Stuck With Me because it was originally supposed to be the song Do Da Da but there was a mix up with the tracking so they just put the original Stuck With Me on Shenanigans and randomly called it Do Da Da. This means that Stuck With Me isn't the original name of that song, and there is my question. I don't want to sound rude, thank you for the answers, this is just making me curious.
Sixtrix Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Stuck With Me was actually some sort of misprint on the album. They decided last minute to change the original Stuck With Me with the eventual Stuck With Me song. But the album art had already been print or something like that. They ended up calling that song Stuck With Me, and the original Stuck With Me was then later named Do Da Da as a b-side. but as far as I know they have never revealed what the substitute Stuck With Me was originally called. I have always wondered about that.
WhiteTim Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Wiki said their was a studio mix up on the two songs
Ratchet Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Wiki said their was a studio mix up on the two songs Yeah because Wikipedia is reliable...
Malleus Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Yeah because Wikipedia is reliable... I never got all this hate on wiki. Yeah, you can edit it, but who is going to take the time to edit such small things? You're not gonna credit it on a paper but it's still reliable for every day shit you wanna know. Anyways, my question wasn't really answered in any of these posts except for Sixtrix saying he doesn't think the info was revealed. I am aware of the mix up, I know all about the track listing, but that doesn't count for the original title of Stuck With Me. Gah, curiosity is killing the cat again.
The Pedestrian Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Gah, curiosity is killing the cat again. For your cat’s sake, please stop being so curious. Nobody on this forum wants innocent cats to die or be physically or emotionally disfigured.
Sixtrix Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 For your cat’s sake, please stop being so curious. Nobody on this forum wants innocent cats to die or be physically or emotionally disfigured. Well.. I don't really care for those naked cats. I guess we can put all our curiosity in those? So we would have to create a rule: before you kill the cat with your curiosity, make sure it's a naked one.
