solongfromthestars Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I dont know about that but he sang a part of American Eulogy ! I thought I read that one of the first things written for 21CB was the part Mike sang in AE, and he wrote it... maybe it was just that they wrote it together, I don't remember exactly. I think he had a part in writing it anyway... or maybe I'm completely wrong.

99 Revolutions Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Anyone know where I can find that doccumentry about Warning? I know it was posted somewhere awhile back but I couldn't seem to find it.
Hermione Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Which songs has Mike written? Ha Ha You're Dead, JAR, Emenius Sleepus, Drama Queen, Governator, Nobody Likes You (Homecoming), The one I want (with Billie)... Others? Where did you hear that Mike wrote Drama Queen? As far as I know Billie wrote it, never heard of Mike having anything to do with it. The others are right though, plus he co-wrote Hearts Collide with Billie and some of the other songs on the their first album/EPs too. I don't know if he wrote The Network songs he sang on or not, I assume he must've contributed to them at least. Anyone know where I can find that doccumentry about Warning? Here you go (if you ever wanna find it again you can just search "Green Day Warning documentary" on Youtube ) : [media=] Amusing documentary . Glad Aska put it on there!

Ingrid Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I read somewhere that Mike wrote it about his daughter, but I can't remember where. I think that's just a logical assumption someone made based on the fact it seems to be written from a father to a daughter, and so a rumour started that Mike wrote it. But as far as we know, it was written by Billie. I remember him talking about it in a 2009 interview, how it was really about media and celebrity obsession (or something like that).

Indeed: It was in the May issue of Q magazine in 2009

Heather. Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I swear Billie also said Drama Queen was more specifically about the type of celebrity shit associated with Jessica Simpsons---her father was really creepy about sexualizing his daughter and always talking about her boobs.

I remember reading that too. Can't remember what article it was, it must've been another early on 21st CB one but I can't find it. But you're definitely right because I definitely read it. It was a direct quote as well, annoying that I can't remember part of it to help find it.
Hermione Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Oh yeah! Forgot about that one. Clearly when they all work together it results in interesting lyrics. They should do it more often!
basKT_case90 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 did anyone manage to save a copy of the Studio Update 2/24 before it was removed from Youtube? I'm interested to watch this one again, but it's no longer available

I'm interested to watch this one again, but it's no longer available I did not even know they took it off.. Here's a compilation of the studio update videos 1-10: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEqidsAO3yA&feature=related

green day is Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 http://vocaroo.com/i/s0Z7bvsAZXMG Just randomly played this song earlier, and can't for the life of me remember what it is. I'm pretty sure it's a GD song, though, so I'm posting it here. Anyone know what song it is?
Bam-Itz-GreenDay Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I have a question more for the fans.. How did you get the x's on your eyes if they arent on the picture on like... page 194 or something? EDIT: Just kidding. I found it <3
Sykes94 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Hey does anyone happen to know any of the GD guys' instagram names or anyone related with GD?
green day is Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Even if any of us know, it's none of your business, so don't expect an answer. And don't take that the wrong way, it's none of my business either. It's none of any of our businesses unless they decide they want to tell us.
Fuzz Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Even if any of us know, it's none of your business, so don't expect an answer. And don't take that the wrong way, it's none of my business either. It's none of any of our businesses unless they decide they want to tell us. I don't see how it's irrelevant. It's as relevant as Tre's Facebook or Billie Joe's twitter. If they post stuff out there publicly for anyone to see, then what's the problem?
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Exactly Andres! What is super sickening is that loads of fans are on these sites (eg Tre's instagram) anyway and are posting random images from it on this site and others trying to claim some kind of glory for themselves. Honestly Tre said he was on instagram so im sure he didnt care that fans were going to go and share his link. He isnt an idiot. Also its not like he's gonna post anything he doesnt want the world to see/potentially see anyway so what is the goddamn harm in sharing instead of maintaining this elitist attitude towards fellow fans?
green day is Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Not being elitist, just saying that if they wanted everyone to know about it, they'd tell us on Twitter or something. I rank it up there with asking for addresses.
Hermione Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Tre announced that he has instagram on facebook where he's friends with thousands of fans. Looking for his instagram after that is hardly the same as looking for an address! If anyone doesn't want random people seeing their instagram they can simply make it private, anyone who chooses to have a public one is choosing to allow members of the public to see it. Whether they let fans see it by making it public or not is totally in their hands so I'm not sure what the fuss is about, if they didn't want fans seeing it they wouldn't let them.
Ritz Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Instagram turning out to be such a big issue ! :/ Come on if they didn't want others to find out they would have made it private ! Since they didn't, so that would mean they want to interact more with their fans. I don't get it why that should be a problem.
