Cori Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Does anyone know if the pictures in the Warning booklet and on the back of the CD were taken in San Francisco's Chinatown? Since I just got back from San Francisco and saw Chinatown while I was there, I've really been wanting to know this.

When I went to SF I kept trying to find the place where they took it, but I had no luck.

I've tried counting the bright blue and yellow (easy) stars then there are red ones and i just noticed grey one(s?) near his Jakob tattoo...geez...the man likes stars! So does anyone know how many he has or what they represent if anything. (ps. Im really bored and its after 1am here so humor me goddamit!)

Dexter Holland has shown his dislike towards Green Day several times, but I think he is just a difficult person. Long time ago, in late 90's I think, Dexter covered a short part of Basket Case but then started to mock the song for the simple chords and basically saying it is not original or something like that (if someone can tell more specifically please do) And I remember, when The Offspring did their Americana tour, there was this interview in the Netherlands where the interviewer asked Dexter how it feels to be this big band on top of the world while Green Day completely faded out and got less relevant. Dexter started his reply with a weird laugh, which kind of confirmed for me back then that he is not very find of them for some reason. I do have to mention that in late 90's Green Day were quite forgotten in the Netherlands and on the radio they would just occasionally play Basket Case. These days they barely mention the Offspring on the news here. I'm not even sure if their new singles even get airplay on the radio here. But anyways, I enjoy The Offspring's music and I am not really bothered by Dexter's attitude. Sorry for the long post

Poor Green Day, they have done nothing and they get Dexter's hate.

Could be, or it might have been written about someone (not necessarily someone who really died, could just be someone they disliked). Unfortunately I don't think they've ever talked about the song in an interview though so there's no way of knowing.

The letters of the logo of Foxboro Hot Tubs are hand written, so I would doubt there's a real font for it. If you look at the o's, they are all different. But the "Stop Drop and Roll!!" letters are from a font though. I have a font called Wide Latin, and it looks very alike, so it might be that one. This is what I usually do when I want to find out which font is used: http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ On this website you can upload a picture with some characters from the font and then let the website match it with one of the fonts in their database. The best thing you can do is select some letters from the font, that you want to figure out, and put them in a file. For the best results the characters should be 100 pixels high. If the characters that you found on the internet are not that big, you can try to scale them to 100 pixels, but if the image of the character gets too unclear then it is better to keep them smaller. Everything is explained on the website, so try it out. I hope it works!

Nope its only been 18 years since they signed to Reprise. It was 7 years before when they were with Lookout Records.
