Here has the orrible meaning that you have this on your head because your partner have another relationship while is with you: (...is the same for you??) ..different is the international meanings if also the thumb is out..is the same referred to music.. Better: we call it horn and Also if your partner goes one time with another You have it.. Here in Brazil it can also represent horns and you "put it" in somebody that has been cheated on. (No surprise, since Brazil has a lot of Italian influence since many immigrants came here!). Also, for religious people, it's a simbol that representes the Devil. It can be used at rock shows as well, like "Yeah! Rock!", although it's more common when used with the thumb too.

So it's just Billie with his bad grammar quoting a sample from his own song incorrectly

Green Day and The Offspring have been compared and mentioned together in articles quite a few times since they were two of the first pop punk bands that got big in the mid nineties, but they've never toured/done anything together.

To me, it sounds as though they were just putting more emphasis on the frase, I don't know. Without "of" I feel like there's something missing. But maybe that's just the American English having a bad influence on my usage of the language

I think it's an American habit/tendency to add the "of".

Effectively, he’d be saying “a nation’s godless”, which makes no sense. You could only use ‘of' if ‘godless’ was a noun. GDC just got educational.....
