Ritz Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Does Mike use the Standard tuning in his bass for most of the songs?
The Pedestrian Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Does anybody know where you can watch the Basket Case video, i'm speaking of the black and white version not the colored version. Thanks
strangestat Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Does Mike use the Standard tuning in his bass for most of the songs? Every thing after Insomniac he has pretty much stuck with standard. Insomniac and before, he and billie both used Eb standard (all strings half a step down). The only wild exception I can think of is Whatsername, one of the only Green Day songs in Drop D.
TheJedi Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 does anyone know why you come to Goo Goo Dolls website when you search billiejoearmstrong.com ? XD

Yeah I noticed that while covering some songs, just wanted to confirm ! Thanks
green day is Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 does anyone know why you come to Goo Goo Dolls website when you search billiejoearmstrong.com ? XD Billie Joe Armstrong is John Rzeznik in disguise.
solongfromthestars Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Is there anywhere you can get an XS in official Green Day t-shirts/hoodies? Sorry if that's an obvious question but first time I've needed that size and I can't find it anywhere.

solongfromthestars Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Try eBay or Green Day's official online store Thanks, I did already check both though, looks like maybe they don't make that size. The ones on eBay are the unofficial ones that say things like "Mrs. Billie Joe Armstrong" I'll keep checking though, some stuff you don't expect pops up on there from time to time.
Elena Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 F.O.D :envy: What day is it for Spain? ...i have no idea, sorry... Man that is so awesome. You guys get it almost a week earlier. I think I will preorder Uno in Germany yep ...well, maybe they also release it earlier in your country
DannyDirnt Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I wish it was released later instead so you learn what waiting is I have noticed Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Give Me Novacaine and She's a Rebel are fused on the deluxe version of American Idiot. Also, Holiday and BoBD and cut in the start and the end respectively. Are Holiday and BoBD // Give Me Novacaine and She's a Rebel supposed to be fused? And I have noticed Haushinka is cut in the start as well, and it's pretty short, so I was wondering if it was supposed to be longer too?
The Pedestrian Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Jinx deliberately runs into Haushinka, and they were often played live together. The story of the songs kind of links the two so it makes sense. As for the AI thing I have no idea why they did that. It seems a bit daft to me....
DannyDirnt Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Oh, good, that explains Haushinka's issue, I hope someone can explain me about AI.

I read somewhere (and of course I don't remember where) that some songs on AI should have been one song, but they are split to allow to download them easier from iTunes and Amazon.
DannyDirnt Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 But iTunes didn't exist back in 2004, did it? Idk about Amazon
Hermione Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 iTunes and Amazon both existed (and were well known/popular) in 2004. Downloading music from the internet became really popular long before then. I'm not sure if that's the reason though. Seems to me like they're supposed to be separate songs but are also linked together as part of the album/storyline so they made them flow into each other. Just one of the cool things about the album.
Sixtrix Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 yep ...well, maybe they also release it earlier in your country I'm not sure but I think here new albums are released on Tuesday, so I think we also have the us release date
Heather. Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I like the way those songs fuse into each other on AI, but I really can't stand how the end of LOTAG has the beginning of Murder City. Doesn't work for me there, especially when you don't listen to Murder City afterwards.
Hermione Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I'd never thought about that! I like the effect when I listen to them together but I agree when it comes to listening to LOTAG on it's own, the end doesn't sound good by itself. Maybe if they'd cut the songs apart at a different point it would've worked better.

Yeah, I agree... because there's a solid 10 seconds of the "duh-duh, duh-duh duhhhhhh" (YKWIM ) before the track ends, and that's just way too much. By the time it's over, you've forgotten why you enjoyed LOTAG They could've cut it earlier and still had it transition.
Naokko Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Hi everyone. I`ve got a question about the new graphics of the trilogy. [turl=http://greendaytrio.warnerreprise.com/]http://greendaytrio.warnerreprise.com/[/turl] Does anyone knows who is responsible for this amazing art? an agency? a graphic designer?

They kind of feel like they were rushed in the process or something. I personally am not a fan of the transition of the intro of American Eulogy and the actual song.

That's not new art. That's the font and art from Awesome as F**k.
