How come it didn’t get as good a reception? I think that it's just that Dookie is less poppier, and many of the people who bought it didn't normally listen to punk (and Insomniac has a punkier sound).

As far as I know it was actually Mike who said that, Tre quoted it in a drum magazine as being one of his favourite Mike quotes. I don't remember off the top of my head which magazine it was but I guess I could probably find it if anyone wants a source.

In the book : "Signing Exact English" 1980 edition the heart shape thing means the same that it does in Italy. oh.. this is interesting... according to an article, the Pitchfork hand gesture once used by the Arizona State University was mistaken for the "shocker" hand gesture and was used by President George W. Bush. I personally think I would refrain from using either gesture... as neither of them is exact English Sign Language. After closer examination of Billie Joe's hand signal I must say that the Pitchfork is the actual hand signal he is using.

I guess maybe he was just repeating it from Mike or something? i don't know...but i've also heard that Tre once said a similar quote (or maybe it was just in that interview where he said that it's his fave Mike quote xD), so maybe the guys all said it then? i just love how it's one of the most famous Green Day quotes and no one really knows when it was said and who even said it first

And there isn’t a recording of it’s fuck time. And Green Day are awesome, and a FBHT album would be awesome, so it seems plausible... That and there’s always wishful thinking...
