Well, actually the fact of being more likely to go onstage is a bad thing for me.I'd be ambarrassed,I'm too shy to go onstage.I just wanna be near Mike and highfive him when he passes :wub:Touching Mike will make my life. Now if my friend comes and I'm able to take some HD pics of Mike I'll be completely ready to die happy.Oh,yeah, and Billie too.

That sounds more than a little bit creepy. :P

It's very unlikely anyone would get to touch Mike at a show anyway haha, the stage is too far away from the crowd for him to lean and touch people's hands or anything like that. But if you're very lucky you might get a smile from him in your direction (or even a wink!), that would probably make your life too :D

 Well of course you can touch Mike if you have elasticated arms, that goes without saying. Unfortunately that means only Stretch Armstrong and Mr Tickle can touch him =/

Ha, I forgot about Mr.Tickle! I have an image in my head now of Mr. Tickle being front row at a Green Day gig and everyone shouting at him from behind to put his hands down because they can't see. :P

He'd reach over and tickle Tre and make him drop his drumsticks too. Mr Tickle isn't welcome at Green Day shows.

Mr. Bounce would bounce himself onstage and crash into everyone.

And Mr. Impossible would make himself invisible and cause a commotion on the barrier. God, Roger Hargreaves, you've created Green Day's worst nightmares.

Oh,well I didn't mean it in the naughty way (this time)

a few questions:

1) I read somewhere that Billie said he didn't wanted to do the Simpsons movie because he didn't wanted that "advertisement" (I don't know how to say it) on him, but Green Day does appear in that movie, why did he change his mind?

2) Why was Nimrod called that way and why does Billie regret of calling it that way?

3) When was Warning released? Because I read in some sites that it was 2000 but in my copy of Live without warning it says "recorded in the USA and UK in 1999"

thank you :)

Calling someone a nimrod is another way of calling them stupid, and the guys heard it in old cartoons and stuff but he was originally a king in The Bible. I've never heard that Billie regrets that name, but he does regret the name Insomniac in favor of what they were originally gonna call it, Jesus Christ Supermarket.

Just because Warning was released in 2000, doesn't mean they couldn't have played the songs before that.

It depends on the venue. Some of them, people are really close to she stage, others, there's that giant space separating the crowd from the stage.

I have to say, being in the front row, in front of Mike is absolutely incredible (specially for you that have a crush on him). Seriously, I lost count on how many time he would blink, smile, point to us!

Then I got to the stage, hugged him, but I'll not try to make you jealous!

Yeah,I somehow got in a crush with Mr.Dirnt xD he's just too amazing! Anyway having my crush on Mike instead of Billie has its advantages: In corcerts, people goes to the front to be near Billie,so I have more room in the right side.Plus,Mike is the most audience interactive, seemingly.Wow that "audience interactive" sounded like a toy advertisement xD "New audience interactive Mike Dirnt! Batteries are sold separately."

Are the tour arenas for Green Day always the same? Or they change between tours/cities?

Posted

Arenas can vary, they might play the same one or a different one, it depends. Sometimes they might play a different city, like they usually play Nottingham but on the 21CB tour did Sheffield instead. Or is that not what you meant?

I go for Mike's side :P my chances of being murdered are slightly less there, and they're all equally badass so I don't mind which one I'm looking at.

How do you mean that? Every arena is different, but the way the stage is built is often very similar.

Haha, true! And, Tré plays lookint at Mike's side. Every once in a while, he would smile at us! And Billie often comes to this side as well...

I was referring to how the stage is built. The same rectangle with a "penis" (how I call the projecting)

I believe they call it catwalk.

Here in Brazil (and the rest of South America, I believe) they didn't bring the catwalk. And flags instead of screen, building projections, etc.

And, "the shape" of the stage can change with this new tour.

Posted

Oh,yeah,I was referring to the catwalk xD I forgot the name *writes down*

For me,best part in the concert is front row, right side in the corner it makes with the catwalk

Is there a video of this or did someone make up the captions? (Is this the fox theater gig?)
