According to setlist.fm it's been played live 5 times.

  • 924 Gilman Street, Berkeley, CA, USA on September 6, 1999
  • UNSW Roundhouse, Sydney, Australia on March 31, 1998
  • Bank of America Center, Boise, ID, USA on November 30, 1997
  • Sproul Plaza, Berkeley, CA, USA on August 28, 1992
  • 924 Gilman Street, Berkeley, CA, USA on September 13, 1991

Okay. Thank you. :) I was just curious because I've been kind of obsessed with this song lately.

Does anyone know if Green Day has ever played Haushinka live? And if so, is there a video of them performing it? I found a video on Youtube that claimed it was Haushinka, but it looked more like someone had taken a video of them playing another song and put the Haushinka music in as background music.

you meant this, right? :

the sound could be a live version, but it really doesn't fit to the vid, so i think the sound was added afterwards and it's probably froma whole different gig ;)

Is this fake or not?

I heard that Green Day should have done a video for the song Prosthetic Head but then didn't do it. I don't why. Does anybody know if there is a actual video for it or it doesn't exist ?

Yeah there's Nimrod era interviews where they were saying it was gonna be the next song they'd make a video for. They never did though, I guess they just changed their minds about which song to release.

That's a trickier one . I know one of the times they talked about it was in one of the radio interviews they did when Nimrod came out. I'll find out which one it was when I get a chance.

Thought I'd quickly see if I could find out by googling it and I was successful. It was in the Modern Rock Live radio interview they did in 1997. At 0:45 -

Btw that's just part 5 of the interview but I HIGHLY recommend searching the other parts on youtube and listening to the whole thing, it's hilarious.

Thanks, what a shame that they didn't do it, i would have prefered that they did a video for Prosthetic Head instead of Redundant.

And I was wondering. If Hausinka is from Nimrod (1997),how can there be performances from 1991 and 1992?

It was written earlier, for Dookie I think, but they thought it didn't fit on the album and simply didn't put it on an album 'til Nimrod. The end.

When did Jason White join the band? because I thought it was during the AI era but I was watching Live Without Warning and I think I saw him.

Because they have to release a song right after they write it, right?

No, but bands don't often perform songs live years before releasing them so it was a perfectly valid question.

Haushinka was written around Kerplunk time. There's three demos of it on Dookie Demos (recorded in 1993) too, pretty cool and interesting to hear it in it's early form:

I'm glad you posted those, Hermione. I love the Haushinka demos, maybe even more than the album version. :)

It's parked up at the place of Tre's dad, who, as we know, was involved in securing the Bookmobile for the boys' use.

Me too. At least a summary of what was asked and answered would be nice. Don't need the exact wording.
