Green Day Question and Answer Thread

Ah! A question/mystery I never did get an answer to. I asked it a long time ago on here.

In 2000 Green Day played Minority on Letterman and all recordings I've seen cut off very quickly at the end, but Tre looks like he hurt himself in some way. Does anyone know what exactly happened? The next time they were on, Dave mentions that the last time they were on the drummer had to go to the hospital. I feel like I've read something about him slicing his hand on his cymbal but I'm not sure if it was this incident at Letterman. Dave said something like "he got the wind knocked out of him". Also, does a full video exist?

^ I think he might of hit his head or landed wrong or something. Was that the one where he dove through the drums and just kind of sat up on the ground afterwards?

No. He did that one on purpose. I'm talking about the very end of this performance:

I knew it was an actual record, but I completely forgot by who it is, or basically any information besides that it's an album cover and the artist was male.

It's by Wat Tyler here's the last f.m page It was released in '95 I think :)

Found this quote from someone working in Lookout, who apparently didn't ask Billie about his picture being used  "I didn't ask Billie Joe, but since I took the picture, I'm sure it's all right. Besides the band is in Europe right now, so they won't even see it."

I'm only 1/2 way through the first song The Little People Make Love  It's punk obviously and the music is good but he's not singing, he's telling a story in a horrible Irish accent. I'm offended

Before I knew who they are, I download a Green Day gig from the net, well I thought they were Green Day and then when I found out that it's a crazy band called The Network, I delete the file cause I thought it was a mistake... only a week after I found out that that GD and the Network are the some people!!!!!!

it is but i thought it was a single song. but its an EP called like that but no song and this is the cover of it :)

so stupid question but lately billie wore that germany sweatband (and i love it yeah.) but anyone has an idea why? i mean at the first show did he say anything special why he wears it in the US or something? XD just curious.

I'm so special, I have two questions!

I remember seeing Green Day on some late night show (Leno, Letterman, or Conan) and at the end of the song, Tre jumped into a little fountain/pool thing on the set and was doing the backstroke. What show was that and is there video of it? Or did it never happen and I'm just going batshit crazy? :pinch:

AND

My voicemail message is Billie saying "Leave an abusive message after the beep". I recorded it off of my computer a long time ago. Where is it from?

I have another one regarding an old tshirt of mine, but I'll wait. :)

Your first question, that most certainly did happen, on Letterman. Here's the video of it :)

second question: I recognize it but I forgot where it came from. Perhaps from his actual voicemail (or well, I'm not sure if it was his actual voicemail, but it's always been called "Billie Joe's Voicemail"... I think it was one of those clips the IC used to post. But that's all guessing from my part.)
