Karen. Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Has anyone here brought any clothes on Adeline records? I want to buy the grey hoodie, but I'm not sure about sizes ... I want it to roomy, so I was thinking a medium as I'd usually go for a small? But I don't it to be huge either. I got the small and it's plenty big, long too. I would normally buy a medium in hoodies. I would recommend getting a small in this case.
farley drexel hatcher Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I bought that hoodie. It's in Mens sizes, and I got a small and it fits me fine. It really just depends on how baggy you want it. Yeah, if it is a man's hoodie then medium might be pretty big on you if you normally take a small. I would definitley go for small. Thanks guys I think I will definitely go for the small, then - I don't want it too big. Just snug XD
brandnbyr Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Hi, wasn't really sure wheere to put this, but can anybody get me a guitar tab for Green Day's version of Like a Rolling Stone?

Cori Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I read somewhere recently that Olivia is from Cigarettes and Valentines. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, is it possible that Dreamcatcher is from Cigarettes and Valentines, too? I mean, it's not been played at any of the secret shows, so I assume that it's not a song they're considering for the new album.
sara_gd Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 My dad told me the other day that he read somewhere on the internet that Billie wrote Give me Novacaine because he heard a story about the members of Grateful Dead having some trouble with drugs, or something similar. I told him he probably dreamt it because I never heard about it and nothing comes up when you google it, but just in case, does someone know anything about this?

I mean, it's not been played at any of the secret shows, so I assume that it's not a song they're considering for the new album. If I've got this right, Olivia was first known to have been played at the same soundcheck as a section of the song Cigarettes & Valentines, I suppose it could well have been from the album. Dreamcatcher was played at soundcheck at roughly the same time as Stay The Night (was it the same soundcheck? Or was it the same one as 'Oh Girl'?), and it also sounded like it was a song in the process of being pieced together, so I'd guess it was a 'new song' that they've since scrapped.

Alright, thanks a bunch. That's disappointing about Dreamcatcher. I really like it.
Heather. Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 So when Green Day won the Grammy in 1995 for Dookie, was their category not televised or did they not attend? I'm kinda sad we don't have lovely footage of the boys winning their first Grammy (unless I'm the worst fan ever and somehow have missed that).

I've always wondered the same thing, but have been too lazy to do anything to find out.
Stephanie. Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I saw somewhere that Billie was a vegetarian. Is that true?
lizziebix Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I saw somewhere that Billie was a vegetarian. Is that true? Was true. Not anymore from what other people on here have said in the past.
Hermione Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I saw somewhere that Billie was a vegetarian. Is that true? Nah he's not. He tried being vegetarian for a short time when he was younger, in the early 90s, but according to him it made him lose loads of weight so he soon went back to eating meat. People also say that Mike's vegetarian and he's even been nominated as "World's Sexiest Vegetarian" more than once . But he's not either (and never has been as far as we know).

While we're on the subject of bandmates' food preferences - according to Aaron Cometbus, Tre tried to eat a live octopus while the band was touring Japan in 2010. The octopus would have no part of it. Final score: Octopus 1, Tre 0. Poooor Tre..........
Smoothed Out Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Ok...do you guys know that Green Day On The Radio cd which is being released on itunes soon or whenever. This one---> http://media.spincds.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/265x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/g/r/green-day-on-the-radio-72.jpg And it's from the WFMU 1992 broadcast right? Well, I think I have the broadcast already on another cd (an unofficial one that my Nan found in the pound shop, yeah I know ) called Green Day Classic Airwaves --> http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51e4tUYVprL.jpg On the back of mine it has 13 tracks from WFMU, then 5 from Woodstock and 4 enhanced live videos and music videos for your computer. I've been looking on itunes and listening to previews of the songs and it's exactly what I have on this airwaves disk from WFMU, except there's obviously more tracks on the GD Radio cd. ANYWAY...does anyone know whether I'm right and that it's the same stuff, like officially? Because that way I don't have to buy Green Day on the radio because in essence I already have most of the tracks on this random arse cd, just want to make sure before I spend £8 on something I've already got. I hope someone can make sense of that.

I have the full WFMU session on another bootleg called Radio Daze, and I'm pretty certain you can download the whole thing from GDC anyway...

And these are the other names for it according to the GDA comments: *Radio Daze * Live on Air * Transmissions * What a nice Green Day * Noize Boys (Part of the show) There's nothing about "Green Day Classic Airwaves" but it's likely that is the same, these unauthorized documentaries and bootlegs are the same thing with different names lots of times (I know it because I have "The only rythm that bites"/"Suburbia bomb"/etc three times )

Undómiel Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Thanks for asking! I've always wondered the same thing, but have been too lazy to do anything to find out. I think it wasn't televised if I remember (reading something about it) rightly. They didn't think that particular award was important enough or something.... On the other hand, I could have totally dreamt that.
LetItBeHappy Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Hey guys, quick question... Do you happen to know where is this pic from? I know it's probably from the Kerplunk era, but where was it used in?

Kristen M Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 What's the difference between the vinyl version of 21st century breakdown and limited edition vinyl 21st century breakdown? Is the limited edition worth buying even if it costs more?
stuart_and_the_ave Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 What's the difference between the vinyl version of 21st century breakdown and limited edition vinyl 21st century breakdown? Is the limited edition worth buying even if it costs more? The normal version is 2 x 12" vinyls The limited edition is 3 x 10" vinyls (one for each of the 3 acts), a cd. It comes in a hardback book with 60 pages of artwork. It's all explained more here I got the limited edition one and it is really good and worth the money (I got mine off ebay so it wasn't too expensive)
