Katarina. Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Did Green Day's twitter account ever get hacked? The Rev did. Several times. Miguel too, but that was only once.
jamesobxfan2296 Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Would Green Day make another greatest hits album?
Katarina. Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Would Green Day make another greatest hits album? Maybe, maybe not. Right now there's no information about it at all. But who knows what might happen in.. I don't know.. 2020?
pasalaska Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Would Green Day make another greatest hits album? Maybe after another 4 or so albums. They'd need more hits first, because right now they'd only have the singles from AI and 21CB, plus maybe the few songs they've released like Working Class Hero.
San Miguel Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I wouldn't imagine they would want to 'update' International Superhits by adding a few AI and 21CB songs so like pasalaska says it would take another few new albums before there is enough material picking favouries off of AI would be very hard tho - say they could only include 4 songs - i wouldn't be able to decide which four...
green day is Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I'd rather have Shenanigans 2 instead! Was about to mention this. But still, we'd probably need to wait for a few more albums first.
Guest Honey Emerald Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Would anyone happen to know where I can find a video of Billie Joe knocking over his microphone stand then lifting it up with his foot?
Bam-Itz-GreenDay Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 If anyone knows about the "Green Days of Christmas: A Holiday tribute to Green Day" are Green Day playing the holiday songs or another band playing them? Thanks <3
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 If anyone knows about the "Green Days of Christmas: A Holiday tribute to Green Day" are Green Day playing the holiday songs or another band playing them? Thanks <3 Well, it's a tribute, which means it's played by another band, but aside from that it's definitely not Green Day playing it. (the whole CD is on youtube) http://youtu.be/R4Yo_sA18h8
bat-chen Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I'd rather have Shenanigans 2 instead! I would love this!
deadair Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Would anyone happen to know where I can find a video of Billie Joe knocking over his microphone stand then lifting it up with his foot? Um no, but this video came to mind when you said he knocked over a microphone-
Annie, get your gun Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Would anyone happen to know where I can find a video of Billie Joe knocking over his microphone stand then lifting it up with his foot? DoodleBob Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Ok, so this is a grammar question and it's going to make it seem like I can't speak my own language but... Is it Green Day are or Green Day is? For example: Green Day are amazing. Green Day is amazing. Which is more proper? I always say "Green Day is" because it sounds better to me, but I'm not sure if it's the right way to say it.
Heather. Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Green Day is a singular proper noun. It's kind of like saying "America is..." or "France is..." ? I guess the only difference would be if their name ended in s, like The Beatles ARE.

I'd say it depends on whether you're referring to the band as a whole (ie a singular and therefore 'is') or as the three members, then it'd be 'are'. For example, 'Green Day are really nice guys'.
greendaytone Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I was thinking about that too recently. I think you're pretty much ok using either in all situations, for the reasons Aska stated. Personally, i prefer "Green Day are..." when talking about them because i think of them as the group of people.
Velocity Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Does anyone know why none of Green Day's albums before American Idiot had a "Parental Advisory" sticker? It's not like they only started using swear words in 2004
raven052 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Does anyone know why none of Green Day's albums before American Idiot had a "Parental Advisory" sticker? It's not like they only started using swear words in 2004 I'd never noticed, so obviously I had to immediately go look at my copies Some of the earlier ones I have do (International Superhits, Nimrod, Dookie) whilst the others don't... Hmmm... Good question! (sorry, I've been completely unhelpful )
pasalaska Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Maybe it's to do with when those stickers were introduced, and when the CDs in question were manufactured. Newer copies of albums might have it whereas older ones might not.
Hermione Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Yeah, I'm pretty sure rules about those stickers have got stricter over the years. Judging by my CD collection they were introduced in the early 90s but were very hit and miss at first so there were still loads of CDs with explicit lyrics that didn't have them. Seems to have taken until about the year 2000 for all/nearly all explicit CDs to have them.

Ok, thanks guys for clearing that up. I was just wondering because I've seen it used both ways, but was never sure which way I should use it.
idiot4u Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 In the pics of Billie at the Little Steven's interview, he appears to have a new tattoo across the top of his chest. Some type of script--I can only make out the word "Be". Anybody know what it is?

It says 'Be Silently Drawn' It's from a quote by “Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of that which you really love” by Persian poet Rumi He got it mid 2010
agrizotti Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 it says "be silently drawn", it comes from a poet by Rumi: Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love. edit: too slow
