pasalaska Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 is there a difference in sound between the reprise version and the lookout version of kerpunk? Yes, the Reprise version's sound is cleaned up a bit. I don't have it, but I remember when they got re-released GDA posted a news piece with a preview of the new sounds. Here's the article. The Lookout version has more of a hip-hop influence than the Reprise version. You're not funny. Or helpful.
Prisca Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 People are creeped out about Billie referencing periods? I am the only one that giggles at Red Tide then? I'm so confused. I obviously haven't been paying enough attention to FBHT lyrics...
pasalaska Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I'm so confused. I obviously haven't been paying enough attention to FBHT lyrics... "Is this passion or... Or your red tide?" = 'do you actually like me or are you just a cray-cray hormonal bitch with urges?'
Liam Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 NAW I just made a boy uncomfortable by talking about menstruation. cute. TAMPONS. SANNY PADS. CRAMPS. Haha I don't actually find it that uncomfortable, just weird that its my favourite Foxies song and I never realised what it as about
BJA TC MD Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Just thinking, what is the actual date of Billie Joe's Dad's death? Anniversary would be coming up soon if not already passed.
Liam Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Just thinking, what is the actual date of Billie Joe's Dad's death? Anniversary would be coming up soon if not already passed. It was September 10th so yea already passed
HeißblütigerPinguin Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 He has, back when it was going to be on 21st CB. It's not father-daughter don't worry : http://www.greendaya...articles/115/7/ I think he might've talked about it in at least one other article too. I think I remember him saying something about it being about celebrities like Jessica Simpson being managed and groomed into being a celebrity by their fathers. Something like that. march of the dogs? never heard of that one.
pasalaska Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 march of the dogs? never heard of that one. Changed name to East Jesus Nowhere
Undómiel Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Does anyone know how many copies of BIAB were sold?
bloodsexbooze31 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Yes, the Reprise version's sound is cleaned up a bit. I don't have it, but I remember when they got re-released GDA posted a news piece with a preview of the new sounds. Here's the article. Thanks alot! i thought i remember seeing a thread about the sound quality differences between reprise and lookout copies of 1039, but i wasnt sure about kerplunk so thank you! The Lookout version has more of a hip-hop influence than the Reprise version. ill admit you had me going for a split second until i realized what you actually said lol
Velocity Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 They were the musical guest on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien on May 2nd (or 3rd?) 2009 I don't think it was a full interview, I think they may have just talked for a minute or two before they played.
Undómiel Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Do you how many albums GD were/are contracted to do with Reprise? Was it eight? I did hear something about 21st CB being their last contracted album so now they're free to manoeuvre if they wish...?
Heather. Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I'm just full o questions Anyone know the attendance #s for the Wembley 2010 gig?
Prisca Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 "Is this passion or... Or your red tide?" = 'do you actually like me or are you just a cray-cray hormonal bitch with urges?' Ah, thanks for clearing that one up. I love your use of 'cray cray' by the way!

I am pretty sure that they renewed their contract with Reprise after American Idiot.
alexwetherell Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I'm just full o questions Anyone know the attendance #s for the Wembley 2010 gig? Think it was somewhere around 85,000! They said it was the biggest show they've ever done
Ingrid Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Think it was somewhere around 85,000! They said it was the biggest show they've ever done Where did you hear 85K? Because the only exact number I've heard before is 71,000 - that's what it said on Bob Gruen's website...
Hermione Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I think it holds around 85,000 doesn't it? I've only heard the rough amounts the stadium can hold rather than the actual number of people who were at that show, that and Green Day saying it was their biggest show but not giving a number. That's the first time I've heard an exact number. Sounds about right too, because it obviously wasn't 100% full but it was more than at Milton Keynes (if Green Day are correct in saying it was their biggest ever show) and that was 65,000.
farley drexel hatcher Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yeah and you can't use the venue's capacity to go by either, since there's a large amount of seats behind the stage that stay empty
Undómiel Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 I was really surprised that Wembley gig wasn't completely full... :/ I mean there were quite a lot of seats in Lvl 5 that were empty at the back.... but then again, they're miles away anyway. You'd have seen more watching the videos on YouTube afterwards...

You'd have seen more watching the videos on YouTube afterwards... Yeah exactly. If they were the only seats available I wouldn't have considered it worth the money to go to. And I'm a HUGE Green Day fan, so it's fair enough that those seats didn't sell out. I think concerts are generally still considered "full" when they're nearly full like that.

I can't imagine anything worse than buying seating tickets for a place like Wembley Stadium and being sat behind one of the lighting rigs so you can see jack. Is there any seating at the Lancashire CCC?

Is there any seating at the Lancashire CCC? The Manchester gig was all General Admission tickets, however there was some seating that was unassigned, for people that didn't want to stand
