Hermione Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 never thought before about the sounds alike. i've always pronounced 80 as eighty. adie=80. thanks guys for the answers! Oh just wondering what radio show was it? I don't think I've heard it
pasalaska Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Oh just wondering what radio show was it? I don't think I've heard it WFMU and it was in 1992 not 1994. Billie says '80?' and Mike goes '80! 80! sixteentimesfive!' it's a pretty damn good bootleg.

Zelda Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I saw a picture of someone wearing an awesome Green Day shirt on Facebook. It had a picture of someone holding onto a fence with Rage and Love tattooed on his/her knuckles. Is it an official GD shirt? And if so, where can I find one?

It was sold at the musical store, so it's official...semi-official? Because it was only sold at American Idiot? I've never seen it sold anywhere else, and they seem to be rare to begin with because so many people want them though so few have them.
-Billiejoezee- Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 40 hours?! That's only for bigger outdoor shows, right? Because in Montreal you could always get away with 24 hours or less and get barrier. 24 hours? Oh dear. At the CA shows at 1 pm there's only like a few people.
pasalaska Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 24 hours? Oh dear. At the CA shows at 1 pm there's only like a few people. whaaaaat you serious? there were heaps of people in line at both Irvine and Chula Vista. we were at the front
Fuzz Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 whaaaaat you serious? there were heaps of people in line at both Irvine and Chula Vista. we were at the front Yeah i think the most I've ever waited was like 10 hours, and we were right against the barrier. I've waited like 3 or 4 hours and was still right up front (only one or two people behind the barrier). It varies for a lot of shows, but never waited more than 12 hours from when they let us in the door and I've always been right near the front or against the barrier.

Plus it's just not close enough. And as I said before, it depends on where you are and the type of show. Here in Aus, for instance, everyone lines up like crazy, so for big shows like GD and Muse and even MCR, people camp for 2 nights.
-Billiejoezee- Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 whaaaaat you serious? there were heaps of people in line at both Irvine and Chula Vista. we were at the front I saw you at the chula line. Didn't see you at irvine though because I got there late. But really? It didn't seem like a big line at chula. Me and the parents went to ask when did the dirt lot opened and if we could just park at the water park, and I didn't see so many people. Well there were quite a few, but I was expecting more, tbh.
Jaymee!! Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 It really just depends on the place I suppose. In Ottawa, I showed up at 1pm (doors were at 6) and there were only 2 other people there: my friend and a girl who we later became friends with. Everywhere else it's always been over 24 hours...Paris was the longest though, that was 30 hours I think. Toronto came in second at around 28, but that's because we had nothing better to do I can imagine people in Australia line up for ages for everything since it takes a lot of bands a long ass time to get their keisters down there and everyone wants to see everything.
Beathe. Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I usually show up 10-12 hours before the doors open. If it's at a big venue, that's enough.

AwesomeAsFudge Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 does the number 21 refer to anything ? coz they used it alot (like in 21.st century breakdown, 21.guns. and GD been a band together for 21 year in 2009)
Fuzz Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Don't know the relevance of 21 Guns. But 21st Century Breakdown is pretty obvious.
Ellenkc Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Don't know the relevance of 21 Guns. But 21st Century Breakdown is pretty obvious. It's to do with the 21 gun salute isn't it?
stuart_and_the_ave Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 It's to do with the 21 gun salute isn't it? I always thought it was
Hermione Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Well yeah they're all relevant to something on their own, I think she's wondering if there's anything that connects them/anything special about the number 21 in general. But I don't think there is, pretty sure it's just a coincidence.

green day is Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 21 guns is most certainly referring to the 21 Gun Salute.
Jaymee!! Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I was able to find it on the Playbill store. Thanks a lot! Woo hoo! No problem
