Fuzz Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 who runs greenday.com? do the guys run it or does someone else? There's a couple people who post news (friends of the band), but a separate company does the design and pages. I might be mistaken, but I think Artist Arena has a role in the official site itself. They are the ones who run the Idiot Club.

I was thinking the same thing, that it was Artist Arena handling both the official site and the IC.
Trina Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Does anyone remember where the new-ish turquoise blue big tee-shirts with a photo of Billie from '94 is available to buy?! Or does anyone have any info about it. I know it was posted about on here a couple of months ago and I really want to buy it!! Search doesn't help. Thanks!!
Zelda Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 "I'm not gonna say anything inspirational, I'm just gonna fucking swear a lot." What interview is that from? Anyone?
Hermione Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Anyone? I've just tried googling it and one of the many places where it's on a list of Green Day quotes says he said it "in Chicago", so maybe he said it during the Jaded in Chicago show? I have absolutely no idea if he did or not but it's the only clue I could find. Anyone know whether or not he said "I'm not gonna say anything inspirational, I'm just gonna fucking swear a lot" during this?

I don't know about what was said that never aired, such as during commercial breaks. I think he said that during a 21st Century Breakdown era gig, but I'm not sure.

But nah, it's not from a 21st CB gig, I'd definitely heard the quote long before 21st CB came out. It's from an older interview or gig. Surely someone must know!
Pedestrian9394 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Does Billie play the piano on 21CBD (the whole album), or is that Jason? I know Jason plays it live.
jamesobxfan2296 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Does Billie play the piano on 21CBD (the whole album), or is that Jason? I know Jason plays it live. According to Wikipedia, (If the information is correct) It says Jason did the Piano on 21st Century.

Hermione Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Aw, that's actually kinda disappointing. xD At least we know Billie can play it, seeing the videos of him playing while his dog sings. Good news! If you open the CD and look in the credits it says "Billie Joe Armstrong: Guitar, Piano, Lead Vocals" And it also says "Additional Musicians: Jason Freese - Piano" So they both played on the album. And a few months ago someone asked if Billie played piano on the album in the Idiot Club chat with Chris Dugan and Bill Schneider. They said yeah, all the piano you hear is Billie. So I think we can assume that Billie played all the main piano parts and Freese just played back up parts

Thanks for the info!
OldWhatsHisFace Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 It's just an opinion question but do you guys have any Green Day related pictures that would make a good tattoo? I just really want a tattoo but I dunno what to get. But preferably Green Day-Related

Oh well, I'm sure I'll stumble across it in an interview eventually. Thanks for answering. And for posting that video - I've been wanting to see that concert for a while now.
Liam Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Does Billie play the piano on 21CBD (the whole album), or is that Jason? I know Jason plays it live. My guess is Billie did the piano for songs like Restless Heart Syndrome, both Viva La Gloria's but when it came to small parts like in 21 Guns, Jason probably did it.

bollard_11 Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Does anyone know how many records Green Day have left on their contract with Warner?
jamesobxfan2296 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Does anyone think that "Cigarettes and Valentines" could make it on to the next album
Pedestrian9394 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Does anyone think that "Cigarettes and Valentines" could make it on to the next album I would bet money on it, actually.
Hermione Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I would bet money on it, actually. Really? I can't see it happening. It's an old song from an old album. It'll be cool if they release a studio version of C&V one way or another but I think it'll be fresh new stuff on the next album.

It'll be cool if they release a studio version of C&V one way or another but I think it'll be fresh new stuff on the next album. Eh, I could see that. But I could also see them putting it on there because of the great reception it got when they played it live. Maybe they'll have it as like a bonus song on the deluxe version of the album or something. xD I just think they wouldn't have played it in recent shows if they weren't planning on releasing it sometime soon, you know?

Let me cite to you "You Can't Fool Me", "World vs. World" (sometimes referred to as "What About Today", they're both fan titles), two unnamed songs from the KALX radio show, and, if you'd like a more recent one, "Minnesota Girl" which was not only played live in Minneapolis at the Target Center, but also released a home demo of it on greenday.com. I'm not saying there's no chance of it being on the album, it certainly did get better reception than those three, I'm just saying your logic is faulty.

I just don't think it's that slim of a possibility. Maybe they didn't put it on 21CBD because it didn't fit with the album. But if they decide to stray from the whole rock opera theme for the upcoming one, it might blend better with the rest of the songs. Wishful thinking, maybe. But you never really know.
