is there a Billie's handwriting font? is it available for download?

There used to be one on GDA, but it doesn't seem to be there anymore.

There is the 'MMM' font in the downloads section though, which is the font used on the cover of Awesome As Fuck, which looks similar to me

hope that helps :)

It was a shitty font anyway, Billie's handwriting. Doesn't look a whole lot like his actual handwriting plus it just doesn't really look good imo.

And it doesn't look similar to the MMM font tbh =/

I heard the reason GDA got rid of the Billie handwriting font is that they found out it isn't actually his handwriting. They thought it was because it was labelled as his handwriting when they found it or something, when they realized it wasn't they got rid of it. I think I saw Courtney explaining it to someone in the GDA comments section not long ago.

answer: yes. 1039/sosh was on lookout until a few years ago. reprise reissued it, and basically just updated the CD format and tossed in a few extras, as far as i know. they didn't remaster it, did they?

the remastered version was originally released through lookout with the gatefold cd cover and all the extras and later reprise re-released the same remastered version but in a regular jewel case.

Could anyone give me any info about the Dookie tour? Not specific dates, but when did it start/stop, how long it was, etc. Anything is appreciated.

Nah, there is one out there, but isn't actually his handwriting.

Somebody should just and him a font template and get him to fill it out. I bet he'd do it if he had the time.

I can't exactly tell you right now because I'm at school but if you look in the download section, theres a live guide which has that stuff. Or try GDT's live guide, either one is good

In the lyric from LOTAG "She is riding her bike like a fugitive of critical mass", are they talking about 'Critical Mass' the bike event? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_Mass

It would be sort of epic if it was because i got an offer to have my GDATW people join the one in Oslo. (unfortunantly it is on friday so we can't come) I had no idea an event like this existed until i heard about it through the environmental people i talked to.

Random coincidence or what?

Yeah that's where he got it from alright! :)

There are Critical Mass rides all over. The ones in Chicago are usually also the last Friday of every month (regardless of season or weather). They ride through our neighborhood quite often and it's so much fun to watch them go by - it's like a parade at 10 at night!

Wonder how many Billie's participated in? Just read that the ones in Oakland are the first Friday of every month.

I've just been watching the JOS video on Kerrang! and it could be just me, but does Jimmy have a FBHT tattoo; on his inner top right arm? The actual FBHT logo of the cross with the letters?

No. It wouldn't make sense anyway, since the Foxies started in late 2007, and it doesn't have anything to do with American Idiot. Jimmy's tattoo just has a similar design with the cross, but with different letters. Something like I, A, M/H, C, can't really see it that well.

Having 4 letters in an X like that is a common symbol for "something hardcore", for example "East Bay hardcore" which would be EBHC in an X. The singer Frank Turner's logo is FTHC in an X, so when he supported Green Day loads of people thought FBHT were gonna play when they saw his logo on stage

Jason Chandler, who designed the Foxboro logo, has said he designed it like that as kind of a jokey take-off of the hardcore symbol. So you look at it and think it's gonna be some serious hardcore logo, but it's just the lovely Foxies instead :D

So yeah, it's a similar looking but different logo in the video.

I wonder what it is then. To me it looks like the letters "I"-"A"-"H"-"C". Not sure about the first two, but I wonder what it could stand for. If those are right, could it be like, "I am hardcore?"

Yeah I don't know much about the whole "hardcore" thing but I guess it's something a lot of punk bands or people involved with punk would grafitti or have as a tattoo. Whatever it stands for it'd be the kind of tattoo that character would have.

I always thought he was referring to the nuclear definition of the term. Critical mass of uranium (?) is needed to create bombs, so I thought she was riding her bike like she was running from an explosion... Didn't know there was an actual event  Interesting!

Working on an English paper on Billie, and I was wondering if anyone knows what age he started learning piano...Around 5 right? I can't remember :pinch:

Right that makes sense, that's why I was confused because the dates didn't add up. The flashes of his arm were really awkward to see and I was watching it tv so thank youuuuuuu :)
