The place where it had discussion for albums isn't here anymore, they decided to get rid of it. But all the threads are here in Green Day Chat. You won't find a thread for every song, only the ones from 21st Century Breakdown and ones that have been chosen as Song Of The Week. Just use the search function and you should find them.

They just came off of an 18-month world tour, and Billie Joe spent much of the downtime playing on Broadway. I assume they all need a lengthy break. Never?Dude c'mon
pasalaska Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 when do you guys think the next album will come? years ? Jason Freese told me the next one would be out in less time than it took for 21CB to come out, if that's any consolation. They were recording on tour, though that would just be demos.

That's pretty soon comparing to the time between AI-21CB. Who knows though.. (I'll come back to this post when the new album comes out, we'll see.. haha)

I'd bet it's a couple of years before we hear anything, but that's just wild speculation on my part. yes I understand what you're sayin'

The way I see it, the longer we have to wait, the better the album will be. It's not all bad though. Hopefully we'll get another tour next year or in '13.

Welcome to GDC I'm hoping for an album in late '12 / early '13, but it might as well be a little later. Don't know. But I think late '12 / early '13 is realistic.

I always thought of it like this: 1. They just thought of a name for fun. Like when Billie wanted to name a song Platypus. So they named a song Roshambo because they wanted to. 2. Roshambo could be, like has been said, another word for the game rock, paper, scissors. Looking at the lyrics, I thought it might mean that whatever it is you get with the game (or anything in life), rock, paper, scissors, you win, or the other one wins etc etc, it doesn't matter, all I really believe in is you. yeah idk.

It's the Network after all, we shouldn't take it too seriously But on the other hand, you never know with Billie Joe/Green Day lyrics and side projects. Certain songs just have more meaning than others. A combination of both things sounds about right.

As for the parts of Homecoming, it took me even longer to realise it was Mike xD LOL yeah, the first time I ever listened to a Green Day album (American Idiot), I thought Billie was kind of "putting on" that very slightly English sounding singing voice of his and Rock And Roll girlfriend was him singing in his natural voice . And I didn't know it was Mike singing Nobody Likes You until I saw him singing it on TV. But unlike you my first language is English so I really have no excuse!
