Moffie Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Is it true that 'It's Fuck Time' was written for the American Idiot musical, but it didn't fit? It was written for the cast but not for the show. Every night, they gather before the show and they all put their hands in, you know, like when you're about to go out and it's supposed to pump you up, they go, "1, 2, 3, IT'S FUCK TIME!" And the band was just inspired by that and wrote that masterpiece.
NothingButYourImagination Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Is it true that 'It's Fuck Time' was written for the American Idiot musical, but it didn't fit? Lol, I don't think so. I'm pretty darn sure that it was written and they decided it was more Foxboro Hot Tubs than Green Day. (Btw, your avatar made me crack up! )

Sara. Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I think they record the music first and then the vocals. That's how you usually record songs/albums... I think. Sorry if I'm mistaken that's right I think they record it like this: drums, then bass, then guitar, then at at the very end, vocals. I might be wrong though. But the vocals are for sure the last thing they record.

Random info of the day: Billie just needed 2 days to record Dookie's vocals. Rob Cavallo is still impressed.

Rob Cavallo is still impressed. I don't think it's for the rhythm as they only started to record that way for 21cb I think, maybe AI. I remember Billie saying he heard that's how The Beatles did it and wanted to try it out. I miss him Anyone know why he left Reprise?
Eirik Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 You have to do the rhythm before doing vocals, unless you're doing it at the same time. Rhythm being drums, bass and the rhythm guitar.

PunkRocks and Coke Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 how do you pronounce pasalacqua in "going to pasalaqcua"?
blitzkriegdeb Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 ^I believe it's Pritchard, and as for the legal name changes, I'm sure Mike and Tre go by their real names when it comes to like, family and legal things.
Nele Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Yeah, I think someone here already mentioned that they are always credited with their ~real names in films etc. For example the Simpsons Movie.
Ally Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 how do you pronounce pasalacqua in "going to pasalaqcua"? When GDC did the Rock off Playlist on Absolute radio they were teaching Ben (was is name ben? LetItBeHappy Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Anyone else notice that Tre has removed all his info/wall comments from his fb page? probably because he's sick of putting "in a relationship" or "single" all the time and because you could get to Ruri's facebook through his
Nele Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 probably because he's sick of putting "in a relationship" or "single" all the time and because you could get to Ruri's facebook through his Ahaha, that's probably true. xDDD

lizziebix Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 i was wondering when you sign up for the idiot club if you pay monthly or just at the beginning when you sign up. You pay just once a year.
mallorymaloney Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Where did "Who the fuck is Tre Cool" start? I second this question! I've never been too sure of the origin.
Elissa. Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Where did "Who the fuck is Tre Cool" start? I'm not exactly sure, but I think it's a quote from Tre in some interview.
