I'm trying to find a radio interview I heard on youtube last year. It was early 90's I think, but I can't remember much of it, just the interviewer being really surprised that Billie was married and he asked what is was like to be married to a punk rock star. Then the guy made some crap comment about Courtney Love being 'available' now, when Billie replied that he wouldn't know what it was like, because he wasn't married to a punk rock star.

Anyone know it?

What I forgot: Does anyone remember the quote where billie talks about joey and mentions he took him on tour and then he went ill so no touring for joey or something?

I knew I'd remember where this was from eventually! RIP magazine 1996. It's a really good interview, the bit you're wondering about is on the 2nd scan:

A while ago, I saw an interview with some girl from MTV talking about Green Day's 2009 appearance on the VMA's on YouTube. That was the time, they played East Jesus Nowhere and at the end Billie had a whole bunch of the people from the crowd up on stage (and a member of Fall Out Boy also came up). Anyways, in the interview I mentioned above, the girl said that they were originally supposed to had a pyro-filled ending to the song without the audience, but Billie's changed the plans on-stage and had the audience come up without letting anybody at MTV know.. I remember the MTV girl said that she had to quickly get a got hold of everybody involved with the pyro at MTV and to ensure the safety of everybody on stage she told them to "kill the pyro". In the video they also showed a clip of Green Day rehearsing East Jesus Nowhere for the VMAs with the pyro-filled ending. Anyways, I recently tried to find that video again on YouTube again and couldn't find it. Does anybody else remember the video I'm talking about and know where I could find it?

I saw that too! It was on MTV Tres and it was called VMA Behind the Scenes

Edit: Aw guess who found it?!

Haha I remember I asked about this in another thread a while ago. I just searched and found the answer Lorraine gave me:

Oh and that rather disturbing Tre one, came from an interview/article with the band while they were here for V festival in 1998. I read it somewhere online a while back. That's also where Billie's "Tre, you might get laid!" quote about the All Saints is from. To go even further into that, that's how the quote came up. Billie said that because he'd just found out they were playing the festival too, and then the interviewer said that one of them was actually pregnant, so Tre was all, "Great, then I won't even have to use a condom". And that's when Mike popped up with that wonderful little quote. :)

What is the proper attire when going to see American Idiot? I'm going to see it tomorrow for the first time (yes I'm a procrastinator) .

Can I go in a T-shirt and jeans? Or should I go for a dress?

P.S. I'm taking the train in from Baltimore (about 3 hours from NY) so I can't go TOO fancy, ya'know?

Thanks!

Just gonna post this again:

This quote just caught my eye in the random quotes section on GDA:

"Are any of these vegetables magic? I mean, If I rub this bean on my foot will I run faster?" - Mike Dirnt

Anyone know what article/interview it's from?

Any ideas anyone?

I can't believe I didn't think to check that! But I just watched it and it's not on there, lol.

They did those gardening tips at the end of a longer interview that they did in that garden though, there's clips of it on Egos And Icons. So he could've said it in one of those clips OR in another part of the interview which unfortunately isn't available to watch anywhere now. The question is do I watch the whole 45 minutes of Egos And Icons again just in case it's on there?

I might, but if anyone else knows where that quote's from please let me know :D

Lol, my bad, haha :)

It was the closest thing I could think of Green Day in/around vegetables.
