B.Good Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 that new-ish tattoo Billie Joe has? the three-word phrase across his collarbone? what does that say??? i've found a couple good pictures of him where i can see it, but i can't make it out!! It says "Be silently drawn" which is reference to a quote from the poet Rumi. The full quote by Rumi is "'Let Yourself Be Silently Drawn By the Stronger Pull Of That Which You Really Love.'" I'm not 100% on where he got it done but I have a feeling it might have been in Texas when the tour went through there (but someone can correct me on that one). If he got it in Texas, it would mean he got it late-August of 2010.

deadair Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 A while ago, I saw an interview with some girl from MTV talking about Green Day's 2009 appearance on the VMA's on YouTube. That was the time,they played East Jesus Nowhere and at the end Billie had a whole bunch of the people from the crowd up on stage (and a member of Fall Out Boy also came up). Anyways, in the interview I mentioned above, the girl said that they were originally supposed to had a pyro-filled ending to the song without the audience, but Billie's changed the plans on-stage and had the audience come up without letting anybody at MTV know.. I remember the MTV girl said that she had to quickly get a got hold of everybody involved with the pyro at MTV and to ensure the safety of everybody on stage she told them to "kill the pyro". In the video they also showed a clip of Green Day rehearsing East Jesus Nowhere for the VMAs with the pyro-filled ending. Anyways, I recently tried to find that video again on YouTube again and couldn't find it. Does anybody else remember the video I'm talking about and know where I could find it? Also, I heard a rumor that the reason Billie's name is spelled the way it is was because his mom was drugged up on pain meds when his birth certificate was written. Sounds sketchy to me, but I thought I'd ask is that true?

Sounds sketchy to me, but I thought I'd ask is that true? That comes from that jokey list of 'facts' about the band called "Green Day Bits" in the 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours album booklet. It says "Billie's mom spelled his name wrong on the birth certificate cuz she was on drugs". Pretty much 100% sure it's a joke haha. Especially as his mum's called Ollie and his sister's called Hollie. Plus I don't think you fill in a birth certificate when you've only just given birth
