Jaymee!! Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I'm 95% sure that he DID respond to the Flowers thing, but I can't remember what it was
LauraNora Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 It was the producer Rob Cavallo that told them they should have it on Dookie too. I'm a little short on detail though! Okay, thank you!
Annie, get your gun Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 No, I think it sounds like him. Same thing with the Network's Hungry Hungry models. A lot of people thought it was Mike, but obviously it's Tre (Disease is Punishment!). So what I hear in the Quick One: Billie sings pretty much the whole song. Now that I've listened to the song more, I can understand why you think it's Tre saying the "we have a remedy" part. Now I'm getting confused, haha. But still I think it's Mike: we have a remedy, Tre: we have, Mike: little girl, stop your crying, Tre: stop your crying. Ivor the engine driver's gonna make you feel all right.. that sounds a lot like Tre. So I'm just gonna ask everyone here: what do you guys think? Who's saying those lines? And to me the part after that still sounds like Mike. First, thanks to those who answer me Second, you really hear Tré in the song? I never imagine that at all! To me in the parts where you say that it's Mike, it's him, but in Tré's parts I hear Billie, so I don't know... I need to listen the song over and over again

I had no idea who sang that part until I saw it live.

karma1215 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Is Billie currently O.K....people are making comments that he injured his ribs. Hope its not true.
pasalaska Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Is Billie currently O.K....people are making comments that he injured his ribs. Hope its not true. Where did you see those comments? I haven't seen or heard anything about it...
farley drexel hatcher Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I'm so sure it's Mike singing "My name is Ivor, i'm an engine driver, I know him well, I know why you feel blue ..." bit ... it just sounds too nasal for Billie. Specially when he comes in after. I've never once thought it might be anyone other than Mike :/ Is Billie currently O.K....people are making comments that he injured his ribs. Hope its not true. Where did you see those comments? I haven't seen or heard anything about it... It's been said that on Sunday he had a hospital wristband on and was flinching/holding his side a bit during the show. But apparently later on during the evening, he was fine, taking photos and signing as normal. Guess he hurt himself during rehearsals and just went to get checked out
Hermione Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Where did you see those comments? I haven't seen or heard anything about it... In the musical thread. Seems Billie bruised a couple of ribs but is carried on the shows regardless and is fine/on the mend. Nothing to worry about. Edit: Too slow!

And to me the part after that still sounds like Mike. It is not Tré saying "Ivor the engine driver's gonna make you feel alright". It's WAY too low-pitched. Good question i'd like to say that Billie said fuck you Brandon Flowers (what a stupid name he could have changed it to something cool like Tre did) on live tv... but i think that Billie did say something (can't remember what) about it... I know that i one of the Static Noise podcasts the guys talk about it (and maybe you'll find tyhe answer there) Not cool, my grandmother's name was Brandon Flowers.

Hermione Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 It is not Tré saying "Ivor the engine driver's gonna make you feel alright". It's WAY too low-pitched. But Tre always says it when they play it live. The only part Mike says live is the "You are all forgiven" at the end. I'm still not sure if Mike does any other bits on the recording but I don't see why Tre would say the whole "We have a remedy. Little girl, stop your crying. Ivor the engine driver's gonna make you feel all right" part at shows if it isn't him on the record. Edit: 2:29, Tre says it fine

It's WAY too low-pitched. it actually is Tre saying that part, if you'd seen or heard Hungry Hungry Models, you'd know his voice can get quite low-pitched. You are WAY wrong.

Idk.
gloria123 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 whats in the 52 page booklet that special edition american idiot comes with? it it artwork?
stuart_and_the_ave Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 whats in the 52 page booklet that special edition american idiot comes with? it it artwork? Yeah it's artwork and diary entries. The diary entries were used in the musical I think. I got it today, it's nice and worth getting if you can
Guest EDIT Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 whats in the 52 page booklet that special edition american idiot comes with? it it artwork? I got it a couple days ago, it's not worth it. The CD is the exact same except it has a book with the lyrics in chicken scratch and some short interesting diary entries. In my opinion, you should get the bonus live CD version or the bonus DVD version instead.
pasalaska Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 whats in the 52 page booklet that special edition american idiot comes with? it it artwork? there's extra artwork and diary entries. If you're a fan of the musical, it's definitely worth getting, as a lot of the script and timeline from the musical is taken from there
yourmumgoestocollege Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Hmm, do you remember what song it was after/before? Like which cut scene it was? This List covers mostly all of the singles I think. Although a lot of them have multiple versions (different colors, imports, etc.) And yes, Macy's Day Parade does have a single (see here), but I'm pretty sure in really rare and hard to find... I cant remember what song it was before but its a easy bit to reconise its when the band are walking towards the stage and tre's reply to the "why are there no clouds in the sky"
jamesobxfan2296 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Is there anyway that you can meet Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre, at a GD show? How can you?
EvanAsFuck Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Is there anyway that you can meet Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre, at a GD show? How can you? Not really... There MIGHT be a chance of somehow getting backstage passes SOMEwhere, but you'd probably have to "know people"... Otherwise your best bet would be some sort of contest if that ever came up... So really you've just gotta get lucky!
AwesomeAsFudge Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 since when Green Day have that drunk bunny with them on tour ?
Clayish Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 since when Green Day have that drunk bunny with them on tour ? Since the Warning tour I think

It's there only show they have ever played in my town and I just want to find out more cause all I know about it is where and when it happened. Thanks if you can help!
