alea84 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Hi everybody Does anybody know someting about the studio 880? Does it still exist? I have heard that the owner has sold it to buy an new viktorianian manson? ----> http://www.studio880.com/ Where do the guys record their stuff now? I think it would be interesting to know for every fan, wouldn't it? Is there a possibility to run into the guys there in California? I ask because in September/ October I will got to California( San Francisco) for holiday, and i would like to use the chance to visit the studio or the"new place" they might hang out or something like that. Does somebody have a tip for me???? I come from Germany and its difficult for me to get all the informations about it. I tried to get the info about the "search"-Button but it didn't match (I just send a message to the GDA members but i didn't get an answer, maybe they didn't get my question or there is a porblem with the mail.) I hope this is not to much right now and someone can help me because I don't know where to reply to else. alea_koenig@yahoo.de
Guest Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I don't think Tre does, but I've been in the same room with Mike and I've seen him smoke. Not sure if it's a regular thing, that I have no idea. Thanks for that
94th nimrod. Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 And I'm wondering why no one who has gotten on stage has grabbed it?!! I think that.. When you're at stage, the only thing you are thinking about is how unreal it is.. and that BJ actually saw you in a bunch of 10000's of people.. So.. The only thing that's in your mind, must be how fucking lucky you are..
Smbcf Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 here's the link http://www.inkedmag.com/article/sound-revolution/ but it says that an email registration is required to view the rest of this article if you don't wanna do this, you could download the word doc of the interview I uploaded http://www.mediafire.com/?4n580nsa33lfgdn Thanks for that, it was a good read

They way they said that they had sold it makes me think it might actually have been sold to Green Day, as they have been using it so much these last 10 years. That's just me guessing though, I don't want to start a rumour or anything. No one knows where they'll record their next album and they have been demoing in several studios around the world lately. They might go back to Ocean Way Studios in LA where they recorded parts of both American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. As of tips for where to go, I'd suggest going to Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe, which is owned by Mike and/or 924 Gilman Street. I don't think the chances of meeting them are very high though. And please use the default colour.
Hermione Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Ages ago I read on Wikipedia that Waiting was originally going to be called "Wwwaiting", and the only reason it wasn't was it wouldn't fit on the back of the CD easily with the way the layout had been designed. Is there any truth to this? Like, is there any other source for this information other than Wikipedia? It sounds pretty fishy to me but I'd love it to be true

east cc nowhere Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 What's the story behind the handkerchief that Billie wears in his back pocket? Billie's bum flag! I have no idea why he wears it but I think probably as a fashion statment more than anything that sometimes comes in handy during shows This is the first I've heard of Studio 880 being sold, interestiiiing. Emilie Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 In the Nimrod album booklet it says Mike plays the baseball bat. I read it and thought 'I can't remember any song with a baseball bat'. Can anyone tell me what song it's in?

November's Storms Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 What the hell is the bullwinke? I mean I know its a sex position of some sort, but was hoping someone here could spread some more light on the story!

I mean I know its a sex position of some sort, but was hoping someone here could spread some more light on the story! The Bullwinkle, if I recall correctly, is a sex position that Tre supposedly made up. He mentions it in 100 Percent on Fuse back in the AI era. Might be remembering wrong, but I think that's it. Someone described it, but I can't remember when or where
November's Storms Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Yeah that much I know, but I was hoping one of the many genius' in here knew more!
Dry_Ice Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 What the hell is the bullwinke? I mean I know its a sex position of some sort, but was hoping someone here could spread some more light on the story! 1. During a sex act in the doggystyle position, use ones hands to give oneself moose horns by first making a fist with thumb and pinky fingers fully extended and placing thumbs on opposite sides of ones head and angling for maximum pinky extension. Extra credit for mouthing a big moose call and/or not laughing. Extra, extra credit for negotiating this maneuver in front of a mirror without partner noticing. 2. The sign given to a friend in hiding while doggie styling’ some chick. It is performed by placing both hands over the head, with palms facing out and waving wildly. Can be supplemented by shouting “Hey Rocky.” (Make sure to use appropriate Bullwinkle voice tone.) 3. A sex position involving a wedge of cheese and a cannoli…It requires one person to be bending like one of those awesome straws. And the other to drink from that straw. And the cheese and cannoli are used for flavor.

AwfulHomesick Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Anyone know what bridge humbuckers Billie Joe uses on Blue? I know they are Seymour Duncan, but I'm not sure which model/whatever.
