deadair Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 So when 21st Century Breakdown was close to coming out, I read an interview and it said that Billie re-learned how to play the piano for the writing of "Last Night On Earth". But, at the Fox Theater show (and I'm also assuming at the Independent, DNA Lounge, and Uptown shows) when they performed LNOE, Jason Freese played the piano. My question is who played the piano on the studio recording?

And where you can find that Fuse special?

He's been working with Green Day since just before American Idiot, doing engineering and mixing on their albums and doing photography and filming at shows. If you noticed on AAF, there was a young-looking guy with black hair in the background doing some keys occasionally, I think those parts are what Jason did on the album and Billie did what Jason does live.

Or he might've just written it for a laugh, or because he hated someone (and wanted them dead either jokingly or seriously or a bit of both). Basically no one knows since no one in the band has ever said anything about it. But yeah! I think you're totally right about the piano. He must've played like the back-up/2nd piano part, whatever the proper term for it is.

It's the title on iTunes because of faggots who can't get over themselves and their own ideals and realize they aren't the only people in the world, so they'd go so far as to bring up lawsuits over a word. It's not by ANY means the official title. Like I said, there are VERY many. A simple search through the audio/video download section would bring up quite a few. Also, my brain auto-completes "Hate" as the last word of JAR. I don't know why, it doesn't make any sense, it just rhymes.

Do you remember when GD posted the lyrics to the 21st CB Album on their website in 2009, shortly before the album came out? There were seperate lyrics to each of the songs and they all had different background. Does anyone have them by any chance? I need them for the GDATW flyers we are working on right now! It's pretty urgent! Thanks a lot!!!
