I heard once they were asked to re-record most of their older songs, and they refused. They only agreed to do Welcome To Paradise, and that was barely. And then after that, when the song became a single, they refused to make a video for it, too. No idea how true this is, but this is what I heard in an interview with Billie a while ago.

i never thought of that... if thats the case i wonder why they picked Welcome to Paradise over the other songs to re-record

They re-recorded 409 in your Coffeemaker. It's on the Basket Case single but it's not mixed.

Does anyone know what Tre's ankle tattoo is of? I figured it out a while ago and now I can't remember! It was some weird object... pretty random if I recall. I can't even find a freakin picture now :(

What are the amp settings for Brain Stew and JoS?

Whats Billie shouting in JOS in "I Dont Care" after he says Land Of Make Believe. Its backing vocals and it sounds like "Yes Another!!" but what is it? Thanks :)

^ I have no idea what it is, but yeah, it sounds like "Yes another".

It might just be nonsense, though.

Why does Billie count to eleven at the end of Private Ale?

Idk. It could be nonsense/gibberish again, like Billie does at the end of Hitchin' a Ride. I've been listening to this part after Land of Make Believe over and over again. I still can't clearly hear what he sings, but I do think he's saying actual words. To me it sounds something like "Saint.. it's another lie." or like "Say (it), it's another lie." right now. Something being a lie would make sense, since it's a "land of make believe", so full of lies/being fake and all that.

I hear something like "there's another liiieeeee" (or another possibility is "~ liiiife"), which kind of makes sense. I never really like, analysed it though, just went with what I heard and didn't give it much thought.

Is Mike Dirnt a tree house?

 I have no idea what you mean with that question.

(My first thought when I read it was "That's like saying 'Is Mike Dirnt a monkey?'")

Is Mike Dirnt a tree house?

Yes. Obviously.

also, what you said sounds slightly familiar...

If you have a Facebook and are friends with me (I have 1,200+ friends, the vast majority of which are GD fans, so it's not unlikely) then you've likely seen me calling people out about being tree houses.

Anyway: Is it just me or are there female back-up vocals on BoBD on Bullet in a Bible?

It's you.

If you count the girls in the crowd singing along as back-up vocals, then yes there are.

If you think Mike Dirnt has a female voice, then yes there are.

Doubt it, I haven't seen anything like that on my facebook, nor do I know your name, so I wouldn't know who you are if you added me/I added you therefore would probably not accept.

sounds familiar regardless. Oh well. Things sound familiar to me way too often to be always true.

So a while ago I bought the Green Day cover version of Husker Du's "Don't Want To Know If You Are Lonely" from the Green Day Collection on iTunes (which was originally a B-side from the Warning era) and enjoyed it. So I went on the page wikipedia has for the song and regarding Green Day's version they said:

"Don't Want to Know If You Are Lonely" has been covered by several different artists, including Green Day, who released it as a b-side after recording it for an MTV show titled "Influences"

^ I didn't know it was originally recorded for a TV show/special, I always thought it was recorded just as a B-side. But does anybody know where you can find the MTV show/special listed above and on the wikipedia page?
