The Guitar strum

in the beggining of 21 Guns and BOBD. When Jason started playing the beggining of BOBD on AAF I was like, "oh, it's 21 Guns!"

But.... I was wrong. :P

Your Love is a Lie by Simple Plan sounds a lot like BOBD.

And their song Take My Hand sounds like Holiday.

The drums in KYE and Extraordinary girl are the same as well.

Green Day has a lot of similar songs. :P But, like mentioned before, that happens a lot in music. Some bands that I've noticed (Breaking Benjamin, Bad Religion, and the Ramones, especially) have a lot of songs that sound similar.

Nothing really similar in the how these two songs sound but I like in 21st Century Breakdown when Billie says, "From Lights early Dawn" and in static age when he almost uses the exact same lyric when he says "the dawns early light"

When I hear one of those lyrics I always think of the other song too.

I assume you've never been to America? It's a play on the phrase "The light's early dawn" which is from the US's national anthem.

I think. It's either that or a different "Patriotic" song.

I've never even been out of the country and I don't know our whole anthem...

I dont know if someone wrote it already, because Im really lazy to look through the thread, but I've always seen a similarity between the drum beat in ''Static Age'' and ''Deadbeat Holiday'' (after the ''wake up, the house is on fire [...]).

Ok, I recently was listening to Shenanigans (which is growing on me, by the way), and for some reason Sick Of Me feel extremely familiar to some other Green Day song that I can't remember. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Oh man, when you say it like this ...

There are a few songs in my head right now, which could be very similar to Sick Of Me ... Im so close to tell it .. :sherlock:

The riff in Brain Stew is the bass from While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Which also slightly resembles the chord progression in Restless Heart Syndrome.

Also Billie uses the chord progression IV-IVm-I in like 20 songs.

Seriously, dude? It's the first line in the song... No offense or anything.

Desensitized from Shenanigans sounds like parts from The Judge's Daughter.

Desensitized:

Clenching my teeth tight

My head is like a sponge

Give it to me free

The Judge's Daughter:

Can we find a way

So that you can stay

I think I'm gonna Pop

That's it! Yeah, I'm a bad American :\

And it's the "Dawn's Early Light" Billie just jumbled it up a little.

Dry Ice and The Judges Daughter have the same riff with interchangable verses.
