jtdscape Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Here is a download of the song http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1L15QDER
Sanity Loan Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 I think I've decided on a Know Your Enemy-Bad Romance mash-up. The tempo is similar (only 11 BPM off). The problem is, the key is different: Bad Romance is A minor and KYE is B. They don't sound too bad mixed together w/o changing keys. But if I raise Gaga to B it just sounds strange (since its higher) and if I lower KYE to A it sounds just... different I think I'll just leave the keys alone... it sounds fine.
alaniluau Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Thanks for sharing, I'm pretty sure that's the only time I've actually enjoyed listening to Owl City.
ConfirmPassword Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Cool! Not always sounds that well though
Alan86 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Didnt like it. About half way through i could take no more
spark in the night Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOO I had no idea that "band" was called Owl City, can you get any more hipster? jfc
sara_gd Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I didn't really like this, I never really liked that song. But I can't wait to hear the KYE and Bad Romance one! Has anyone the Bad Romance and Time is running out by Muse mash-up? It's great
Metanoia Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I find it kind of confusing...but not too bad though
Radioactive1 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 That was awesome. I love Owl City though soooo I was bound to like it. Fireflies reminds me of Summer 2010 <3
Solitary One Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Damnit, I thought it was going to be Fireflies by The Lawrence Arms when I saw the title.... I am disappoint
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 It sounds cool, but in some parts it sounds really weird, it doesn't sound that well together all the time. In all, it's an unexpected mix that works surprisingly well.
Sanity Loan Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 It sounds cool, but in some parts it sounds really weird, it doesn't sound that well together all the time. In all, it's an unexpected mix that works surprisingly well. I agree. Some spots aren't great while others are brilliant
Pedestrian9394 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Really well done, but I still find Owl City to be repulsive. Anyway, it's a very interesting mix.
jake smith Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 when i read the title it sounded like a recipe for disaster, but i actually like it a little
Marie_GD Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 That's what I thought Its inspiring me to do a Green Day-Gaga mash-up lol Basket Case + Poker Face Do you have the time mamamamama To listen to me whine mamamamama
Gwen Stacy Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 I wanted to like it But... Owl City Electronic Wuss ftw
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 It's cool, but I really dislike the Owl City guy's voice, I always have. I kept an open mind, it's not bad.
Laurenn Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 never really liked that song, but it sounds cool.
