Moffie Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Usually the songs that the cast performs in public is without St. Jimmy (American Idiot, Holiday) but maybe New Year's will be an exception if Billie wants to take part.

I was thinking the same thing. However, Billie really could sing every song without actually being St Jimmy. Maybe he'll just join in with everyone on whatever song they decide to do.
GDM Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Billie Joe showing up unannounced with the cast would be a huge boost to the American Idiot box office, in addition to his already being in the show for two months. Carson Daly loves Green Day. Someone mentioned earlier how they are doing great marketing for the show. I'd bet anything (if I had anything to bet) that he would show up, but now I can't see them doing any of the songs from the show except Good Riddance, which includes the entire cast and offers a nice New Year's vibe. But I can see them doing two songs, one without the full cast and then Good Riddance. We'll see. Very excited for the cast, no matter happens, though! Those kids are working their butts off.
Rosie May Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 That's great, I wonder which St. Jimmy will be there?
Moffie Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I agree with Tanya. It'd be great for the show and it's not like Billie hasn't sang Good Riddance for NYE before. If they did it with him, that'd be cool. And a plus because he'll probably be sober this time during!
Tripe Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Cool! I'm happy for those guys and this show getting this kind of exposure, whether or not Billie Joe is part of the performance or not. I'm guessing Tony won't be there regardless...isn't his last show the 30th?
Vrock09 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 These guys don't get a day off do they? I'm so grateful to them and it would be nice for Billie to show up, but either way it will still be nice to see the cast in general
lizziebix Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I'm excited, whether Billie shows up or not, that the cast will get more national attention. They certainly deserve it.
gdpony Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Like everyone else, Im really excited about this! Maybe st. billie will make an appearance or maybe he'll want to spend new year's eve with his family ...
alaniluau Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 This will be great! The cast always puts on incredible performances. But since I don't get NBC, looks like I'm out of luck this time.
debunked Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Does anyone know the actual time for them to be on? Sadly, I have to work and I won't be home until 10:20pm central time. I'm kinda worried about it already being over. Sure, there's always youtube but it's not the same!
-Billiejoezee- Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 if billie performs then im watching.
thisguy3496 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I have to stay home alone just to watch.I guess I wont be way hint this year again

dria021772 Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 So.... is there any hope of a recording of it showing up on the internet? Me no has NBC I'm staying up to watch just in case Wish I could send it to you .... Carson just talked about AI on the TV while I was typing this!!
mallorymaloney Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 For those of you who don't have NBC, you can always check out the EarthCam.Com webcam of Times Square! It's playing everything a few seconds sooner than the TV! http://cdn2.earthcam.com/earthcam/ts/index.html And I can't be the only one thinking of Green Day when the dude onstage right now's singing, 'Sometimes I like to throw my hands up in the air and sing heyyyyy ohhh, sing heyyyy ohhh'!

I'm only seeing the ABC show not NBC. (not that it matters as I can see it live on TV, just saying.) oh. never mind. found it.
mallorymaloney Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I'm only seeing the ABC show not NBC. (not that it matters as I can see it live on TV, just saying.) Actually, you're seeing both of the shows, as they're both being recorded in Times Square! =3
mallorymaloney Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Did I miss it? Nope, MCR's on right now, w00t!
mallorymaloney Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 My chemical romance was awesome! They were, and I actually like their live version better than their album version, I think!
lizziebix Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Love that they were in front of the tree at 30 Rock. I was just standing where their stage was a couple of weeks ago.
