Hermione Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Those little buggers! What do they think they're doing? Also I love your uncensored ava Sanne
greenday801440 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I enjoy the emphasis of pink in it! The bunny is great! Being able to finally able to see an official banner for Awesome as Fuck is exciting since it really does confirm to me that it is really being called that, y'know? The fact that the name is essentially an inside joke between us and the band is so intimate in a way. It really shows that they care about us just as much as we care about them....boy are they awesome...as fuck!
farley drexel hatcher Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 They changed it back! I wonder who was messing around and put it on there. I had a feeling it was a bit early, a bit random. Wonder if someone's in trouble, lol
Nickofsuburbia Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 i can see Billie Mike and Tre pulling a donald trump and being like "you leaked the AAF logo... you're fired"
BringMoreKnives Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Awww, darn. I want it back. Also, If that bunny is not on the actual cover art, i'll be highly pissed.
Emilie Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Sigh. I won't be able to buy this album because of the curse word in the title. It sounds so pathetic but the worst part is that it's true Same with me. Dad would kill me if I came home from the shops, asked me what I bought, and I said to him 'Awesome as Fuck'.
Ellenkc Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I don't get why parents would care about this, I mean I understand that some of them do, but I don't know why. My dad just offered to order it for me! Love the ava!
Hermione Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Same with me. Dad would kill me if I came home from the shops, asked me what I bought, and I said to him 'Awesome as Fuck'. Couldn't you just say "The new live Green Day album"? Billie will be saying fuck repeatedly on the album both during and in between the songs, I don't really see how it saying fuck in the title is any more of a problem than that.
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I'm very pleased with this. Drunk bunny deserves more attention I do feel bad for all the younger fans who's parents will keep them from buying it just due to the title. It's such a shame that so many parents feel that way, I mean, despite their somewhat explicit vocabulary; I think Green Day is a good influence for young people. I hope I stay that open minded when I have a kid or my own. I'd rather base my opinion of what they can and cannot listen to based on the actual content than a title and a few swear words. As long as the message is acceptable; why not?
TheSaltOfTheEarth Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 THEY CHANGED IT BACK? Sigh. I won't be able to buy this album because of the curse word in the title. It sounds so pathetic but the worst part is that it's true Same here. I was barely allowed to buy 21stCB because of the COVER. Sucks.
Bastard of 1967 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 despite their somewhat explicit vocabulary; I think Green Day is a good influence for young people. In a lot of ways I agree. Still, tho, Sarah and I won't play most of Green Day's catalog in front of Talia til after she picks up the F-bomb outside of the house (at school, etc.). We know we won't be able to keep her from learning it on her own as she gets older, but we *can* choose to minimize her exposure to it at home for now -- and thus not accelerate the process. wtf they changed their youtube channel again and now it's back to the black-red-orange 21stCB theme! Sure is... Somebody's Awesome-As-Fucking with us!!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I don't think it's bad if children learn swear words young - they just have to learn it's a bad word that cannot be used randomly at all times. Swear words themselves aren't bad, it's about how and when or whether you use them. Although I guess that until children learn how to speak, it might not be too handy as they could just pick it up and start blabbering and repeating what they heard without knowing what it means.
greendayawtw Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Sure is... of course i look at this thread AFTER I spend a half hour searching youtube for it. BTW i really like it!! A lot.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Sure is... Somebody's Awesome-As-Fucking with us!! I wouldn't say it's that awesome buuut nice pun
Prisca Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Dude this artwork is AMAZING! I'm really lovin' the psycho bunny look and the colors too. So excited to see the DVD! Japan + Green Day! Woo!

ParadoxAndPlaid Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 In a lot of ways I agree. That makes perfect sense. When a kid is really young and unaware, I understand wanting to keep away from that sort of language as long as possible. But when the time comes that she learns of it, as long as you teach her that certain words can be offensive and not to use them inappropriately; It won't be a problem. So when they're 15, and ask for a CD with some explicatives, you can trust that they are mature enough to hear it and make their own choice in what they listen to. You definitely should get her the lullaby renditions of Green Day songs tho. It's awesome and safe for any age.
greendaytone Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I love it so much, the colouring is brilliant, and the bunny!!!
