Satan Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 WMUWSE and Holiday.... and sadly, Good Riddance oh, Basket Case, Welcome to Paradise, and She too. dude, all those songs are in my top 10 so you like Christian's inferno, deabeat holiday, last ride in, tired of waiting for you ect more than those songs?! Oh and I don't get all the hate for see the light. everytime i listen to it, it makes me so happy because i feel like it's such a great ending to the epic tale of Christian and Gloria and i think the intro is genius it ties everything together oh and take back is full of win
Jasmine Hopkins Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 There actually are a few... Christian's Inferno, Coming Clean, Misery, Little Girl... yeaaahhh.... not on my favourites list that's for sure
Mar Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Christian's Inferno Sweet Children Platypus Take Back Last Ride In Espionage
AveryMaurice Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Really none of the 21st Century Breakdown album (besides a few songs, like 21 Guns and Restless Heart Syndrome) have really grown on me yet. Yet.
debunked Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I'm not a huge fan of anything from 39 but I think it's because BJA's voice just sounds so different. So, if my ipod is on shuffle (just Green Day songs) it'll go from like 21st to 39 and it just sounds.. way too weird so I skip. And I have never liked Good Riddance. I think it's because it was used EVERYWHERE so I got tired of it. There's a few on Kerplunk that I don't listen to either. It's not that I don't "like" them, it's just weird to listen to because of the voice change.
clairex Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I like most stuff on Shenanigans. I feel like the only one.
Isabel Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I like most stuff on Shenanigans. I feel like the only one. Don't worry, you're not. I love that album The only song I don't really like on that album is Do Da Da.
debunked Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I like most stuff on Shenanigans. I feel like the only one. You're not! That was honestly my first Green Day album and it's what made me fall in love with them.
Hermione Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I love the songs on Shenanigans but they're generally not as good as the songs on their other albums.........which isn't surprising because Shenanigans is a load of b-sides that they rejected from their other albums . Those songs didn't make it on to the albums because (for the most part) they're not quite as good. Still good though

Satan Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 ^ WHAT? well, at least you didn't say little girl. this thread makes me so angry.
PartiallyInsane Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 There are a few of mine, some of them I liked a lot at some point then couldn't stand them anymore and some I've tried to like but coulding trick myself. I think I have at least one from each album aside from Dookie but I'll try to justify them in some way. Going To Pasalacqua - Great song, but after a while I don't think the whole lament is as good as say "Dry Ice" Sweet Children - I just think the harmonies in this one are really bad 86 - I really don't understand this song, and insomniac has some catchy as fuck songs Hitchin' A Ride - For obvious reasons this song is great live, but it sounds more spoken than sung Waiting & Misery - I'll probabaly get a lot of heat for the last two, but Misery seems to have provided a lot of inspiration for their later albums, and waiting is incredibly boring to me. Jesus of Suburbia - This would be on my list like #3 say on a list of my top 10 favorites, but I can never listen to it on it's own merit. So I usually skip it. See the Light - Incredibly generic, that's all I can really say about it.
beejeezee Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Am I the only person who doesn't have a single one? I never liked -Last of the American Girls -Wake Me Up When September Ends -Extrordinary Girl But I just listened to them and now I like them. So for me none
whowroteholdencaulfield? Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 There isn't any song that I don't like. I mean, it's Green Day!! But I skip songs when I don't feel like listening to them. Most of the time I skip "rest" and "christian's inferno" but sometimes I really enjoy them! I love shenanigans.

It's not that I don't "like" them, it's just weird to listen to because of the voice change. i used to think exactly like that ! i thought his voice sounded soooo strange and when you compared the music with songs from AI or 21CB, i thought "wow how can that be the same person it's so different ! and i didn't like that kind of different style . but at some point, i don't know when, i started loving kerplunk (basically because i've always loved 2000 light years away and i put the CD in and had to listen to the other songs). Shortly after that, i started loving 39/SOSH because of paper lanterns and then the same reasons . so those 2 albums have grown on me, i really love them now, and maybe you'll, too so now back to this thread .. shenanigans hasn't grown on me. that may be because i hardly ever listen to it .. but what i can i do, i just love the other songs so muss i don't wanna spend time listening to other songs but them.. you know?
Marlee Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I think i had the opposite effect with Misery. The first time i heard it i thought it was really cool and interesting.....then i listened to it more and now its so bizzare im kinda confused by it
Holly Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Last Ride in, Espionage, Christian's Inferno, ermmm I can't really remember right now but there are a few more that never really grew on me. I still prefer them to most other music but I'd usually just skip them to a different Green Day track if they came on. Christian's Inferno is actually 8th on my playcount of Green Day songs on itunes but I'd still say it never really grew on me.

Melonhead Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Let's see...Wake Me up, BoBD, Worry Rock, Last Ride In, Shenanigans, Misery, Christian's Inferno, Last Night On Earth, 21 Guns, See the Light
SuperRebReb Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Take Back Sweet Children My Generation Last Ride In See The Light is also kinda annoying... It's just too quite an ending. The album should have gone out with a bang... I dislike Last Ride In, but I love Espionage. :/ I dunno why.
