Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 The EP at the end of Kerplunk, stops it from ranking alongside their best albums I think. Really think it would be alongside Insomniac or Nimrod if it was just the first 12 songs, but Strangeland in particular is horrible, and the other 3 are not much better. Other than that, I still hate Christian's Inferno, and 21 Guns did the opposite, I liked it at first but now really hate it. Some of the b-sides on Shenanigans never really grew on me either like I Want To Be On TV or Do Da Da but then it's a b-sides album and it still has some fantastic songs.

I'm not a fan of Panic Song, or the instrumentals. The only time I listen to Last Ride In is when I watch the music video. And I can't stand the beginning of Extraordinary Girl. I mean, I don't mind the bongos, but do they have to go on for so long?

in_your_face Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Last Ride in. well, i don't feel anything whilst listening to it. the feeling is neutral. they shouldn't have included the song in the Nimrod album. it doesn't make sense. I'm was in a state of chaos when i found a song with no vocals and nothing included in the lyrics booklet about the instrumental song.

WHAAAAAT?! well, it's your opinion, but well, hell, I find it to be a masterpiece, describing about 80% of my life. There aren't really songs that I hate, though there are a few that I'm 'meh' for. I'm not that much of a big fan of Christian's Inferno, and about half 21stCB. I personally don't mind Last Ride In, it's actually a good instrumental, and I don't exactly acknoledge it's GD when I listen to it. & when Billie Joe screams on Take Back, it seems he's about to vomit. I don't hate the song, I personally find it hilarious

Not so much the song itself when I hear it. i agree - Kerplunk! has to be my fave album from Green Day but the last few songs have not grown on me... BombingwithBillieJoe Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Christians Inferno... I cringe when I hear it. Except when I'm driving. Oddly, I don't mind it when I'm in my car. But for some reason Billie Joe trying to be snarly in that song just didn't work for me. See The Light. Those are the only two that come to mind. I don't hate them, and I usually won't skip them, but I'm not particularly fond of them either. Also... it's not a Green Day song, but they perform it live so I'll count it anyways. When they do the rock medley live, and they cover ACDC... I HATE Billie Joe's ACDC voice, haha. I adore when he does The Who, and Guns and Roses and The Rolling Stones (I think there's more songs but I can't remember), but I always groan for ACDC.

Anyway, 16 and Strangeland. 16 would probably be okay if it wasn't for the way Billie sings the chorus. It aggravates me to no end. As for Strangeland, ugh. I just downright hate it. I'm usually iffy about Take Back. I don't exactly hate it, but at the same time, I don't love it.
