I just saw it and I didn't know they were doing it do I got all excited and came to post it but I guess someone else did LOL. I LOVED IT. it was great. And of course it was gonna sound like the musical. Right after they performed, the host said they did the MUSICALS VERSION, not GREEN DAYS VERSION. So they tried to sound like them.

I wouldn't say it was crap, I mean they sang it very well.

But it was a total copy of the musical version, the notes, the timing, the way they sang it.

Not to mention cutting out a few lines when it suited them

I was really not a fan. I don't feel that they did the cast justice. I believe that the cast does Green Day justice. So, by that string of logic, I don't believe they did Green Day justice either.

I wasn't a particular fan. It was undeniably interesting to see it done in that... particular way, but I don't think it was done altogether well either.

I liked the performance until the end, when all the singers pulled out their different vocal exercises. Then it was kind of ruined...

I have to give them credit for having good taste in music and they did sing well. But I agree they copied the musical. If they wanted to make a really good performance, I would've done the collab with a song that no one would really think of doing like, I don't know, maybe, EJN or Peacemaker, but no-oo-ooo they're not me. So, they didn't get the genius idea that anyone could have thought of. Also, they made the song sound too soul-like/country-like/opera-like and it was.......odd, odd that's what I'll say. It's odd, not bad, because they did do okay.
