Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Sorry - I'm not very advanced, don't know how to ues the spoiler thing - will do it later if I can look it up. (It's probably embarrassingly obvious!) It doesn't seem like it now but if the show ever comes to London, you'll be old enough to go without your parents. Same with the next touring cycle. Best advice, start saving! no problem, you just put whatever you want to say in
spoiler tags
(without the space in the tags). Or you select the text, go to the "other styles" tab and select spoiler there I hope so, but then it would have to come to London after March 2012, which might be a little late. I don't know, though, so who knows.
Boston Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I know that there are tons of people going specifically because Billie is in the show - hell, I'm only going again for that reason - but if they don't exhibit proper play-etiquette, its going to piss me off. People not behaving appropriately at shows is one of my biggest pet-peeves.
VanVan Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I wish people wouldnt attack billie everytime he came out.. yeah we all love him, but hes a freaking human being. and hed probably be more inclined to chill and talk to us all if we didnt go apeshit everytime we saw him. sigh. jos_whatsername Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 this thread makes me so sad but i should probably be very happy for all you DAMN LUCKY BASTARDS who are gonna see it

People not behaving appropriately at shows is one of my biggest pet-peeves. I know, I mean i want pictures and videos, though it's so disrespectful to the audience, the performers, the ushers, and billie joe himself. So i just want to here you talk about it. I'll wait for the proffessional pictures to come
TheSaltOfTheEarth Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 ~He probably shouldn't have tried to sneak out of the Jujamcyn office doors without security. I was watching from across the street and saw him just get mobbed when people realized. Another note to him, if you're trying to sneak out, don't stop when people start calling your name. o.O Fortunately someone (stagedoor guy? one of the actors he was leaving with?) managed to get him to the waiting taxi. ~And he totally managed to get back into the theater without most people noticing, even with the fact he was coming out of an Escalade. (Which was late in picking him up, which I think is why he had to sneak into a taxi). A couple who DID notice him coming back in kept going "OMG HE'S SO LITTLE". lol ~An usher I know who works at the theater said Billie was running around the theater before the show in his pajamas. No, I did not ask why he was in his pajamas. They are apparently red, though. if you're trying to sneak out, don't stop when people start calling your name Billie in red pajamas? I NEED to see that now. OMG HE'S SO LITTLE Thanks for sharing all of that with us. It's so much better to hear all the small, funny details rather than a big, general description. I love GDC so much for this, 'cause not only do we get pictures and videos, but we get stories from people who actually went, which is about as good as, or even better than, any picture or video. So...no sign of tweets from St. Billie yet?
luvgirlcl Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 So...no sign of tweets from St. Billie yet? I was thinking the exact same. I was so hoping to go into twitter this morning and see something like 'guess who's back bitches! and I'm wearing my lucky socks!' ...oh, that would've been awesome...wishing, wishing, wishing

farley drexel hatcher Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 To be fair I doubt the billie Joe mania will last for his entire run; as in, constantly being hounded when he leaves. There has to be a natural lull at some point. I hope xD

Make a sign that says 'TWEET, YOU FUCKER' on it and hold it up after Good Riddance. Or, like, write it on a paper airplane and throw it at him or something
mallorymaloney Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I don't think trying to get Billie to Tweet again would be a good idea. In fact, it might even piss him off. After all, he made it pretty clear in Peru that he's not the fondest of technology anymore, haha.

I know he's not fond of technology, but a little fun on twitter wouldn't hurt...plus, the whole Peru rant was a rant, and while I don't want to cause ANOTHER debate about it, it was a moment of hot headed-ness, some irrationality in between, so I don't think he'd get all pissed off, unless he usually goes on his daily life angry at the internet and cellphones and shouts while walking on the street 'fuck you technology, you screw everything up...I hate you, Blackberry'

mallorymaloney Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 That's true! Still, though, I don't mind the lack of Tweets. For one thing, it makes Billie more mysterious without 'em!
Hermione Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 I really don't think Billie's rant and him stopping tweeting were related. Twitter is just a way to send a quick fun message to fans - it's not the side of technology he was ranting about. I reckon he stopped tweeting simply because once he was off tour no one was reminding/nagging him to do it anymore . Whatever the case I don't think we have any reason to believe twitter is a sore point with him. Ask and you shall receive - random bullet points if that's okay - There were about 200 people on the OTHER side of the street waiting for Billie to come out, as well as a significant number outside the theater - it was madness. Someone also knocked on the window of the car after it had pulled away. I think they got the middle finger in return. - Billie is saying the line "we don't need no stinking badges" (or whatever it is exactly) before Novacaine. I had hoped to hear "Oh baby, baby, it's fuck time", but I guess that's for special occasions. - The reaction to the song St Jimmy is awesome, the show pauses for a few minutes so that we can all regain our composure! - Esper owns the couch, that thing he does with the towel is hilarious. - St Jimmy is so tuneful that at times I had to remind myself it was Billie singing. - The ushers spend the entire time before the show barking at people to put away their cameras, which is fair enough. - The family was there again, but this time left with Billie. He signed some autographs on the way out. - He's doing the funny psyching himself up shouting thing prior to coming out on stage, I'm pretty sure he included Happy New Year in it. - Lest you think I am ignoring the rest of the cast, they were absolutely superb at both shows. Today was my first time seeing Stark and Theo as they were out on my first visit. They were great, all the girls are wonderful, I love Rebecca. - Billie did a cute thing with a rose he was given at the very end of the show, tucking it behind his ear. He was last to leave the stage, showing off. - I love how his performance includes some classic recognisable Billie moves - looking nutty, finger through hole, zany eyes etc. I described those badly but if you see it you will understand. Lastly, it is lovely to see him smile so much, if I could go to every performance I would!! But now I must pack. Sounds amazing! So happy for you and glad to hear he's doing such a good job. Thanks for the photos and videos . Looking forward to more from the next 49 performances!
VanVan Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 baha i seriously want to see someone do the paper airplane thing
mallorymaloney Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Really, Hermione?! I always figured the anti-technology rage and thesudden stoppage of Tweets were related! Although, now that I think about it again, why would they name the live album Awesome As Fuck if this were the case? Unless the name was chosen months ago ... Hmm. baha i seriously want to see someone do the paper airplane thing Eh, I dunno, that idea sounds kinda dangerous to me, heh. Have you ever been hit in the eye with a seemingly harmless paper airplane before? 'Cause I have, and it's not pretty ...
