November's Storms Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 eugh christmas songs. I've had them at work since the beginning of the month. so over christmas already christmas music is doing my head in..its EVERYWHERE!!! a guy in a shop let me blast green day from the ipod speakers just to drown out "all i want for christmas, issss youuuuuuuuuu" they should at least wait until december to start playing it Point proven, and where the hell do you work that blasts Green Day?!
euphoric-pareidolias Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Point proven, and where the hell do you work that blasts Green Day?! if that question was for me, it was in m&s in dd and there were ipod speakers so the guy who worked there took my ipod and when he saw all the green day stuff on it he got excited so told me to start playing songs and then he turned the volume up really really loud. people got pissed over the volume but it was a nice change from Mariah Carey
Boston Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 I'm only speaking from personal opinion, but listening to all those Christmas songs for over a month is just too much. By the time Christmas has come around, those songs and all the holly jolly buzz associated with them have lost their meaning. I don't want to sound like Scrooge, I do like Christmas and love some of the Christmas songs! But just not too early! My viewpoint is that there's only one month in the year that listening to Christmas music brings about such joyful feelings, so why can't I listen to it a full month in advance?

You can of course! But for me listening to those songs for more than a month makes them lose the novelty attached to them..I just get bored of them and lose that Christmassy feeling after a while.
RebelofSuburbia Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 ahh I love when Christmas time comes around! I always make this special Christmas playlist that is filled with bands I like doing Christmas songs. (I really dislike the traditional christmas songs so this is a good substitute to still get me in my christmas mood) I have to wait a little longer though, we have a national holiday on dec 5th and it feels weird to do all christmas-y before that's over
