Next Album- Concept album or not?

i don't think they should because there is only so many times you can do that and 21CB wasn't that great as a concept album anyway!

I'd argue that they went back in time for 21CB. The style of it is not that different than American Idiot. Sure it was different, it wasn't an exact replica, but I still think very relate-able.

I think they took what they did with American Idiot to the next level with 21st CB, they pushed it so much further. So I see it as moving forward. All their albums have some similarity to the album before, but the key thing is they take those shared themes/style/etc and build on them, they always progress with them rather than just doing the same thing again. I feel like that's what they did with 21st CB.

I don't want another concept album or rock opera. I want something completely NEW & SOON. I would like a simple record, with a killer bunch of great songs Green Day style. And it would be awesome that they include 'Olivia' and the other song from a soundcheck, the 'oh girl' or something like that? And, of course, new songs. And thinking of this makes me feel staring, I need their music

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I never really listen to AI and 21CB as a whole. I love every song individually. I don't care as much about the overall connections- I just want to hear great songs

So I honestly don't care what kind of album it's gonna be, cuz I know I'll love everything on it.
