Kayfabe Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Wow waiting and novocaine rhapsody are great
November's Storms Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Novacaine Rhapsody is great! My favourite out of them all!
Stormy Haze Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 My favourite out of them all! I know, right? Green Day and Queen, what could I possibly want more than that?
November's Storms Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I know, right? Green Day and Queen, what could I possibly want more than that? Did you hear Green Day and The Beatles? Rigby Stew..look it up!
Stormy Haze Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Did you hear Green Day and The Beatles? Rigby Stew..look it up! I did... I still prefer Novacaine Rhapsody though
Of Rage and Love Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 American Jesus Dr. Who on Holiday Boulevard of Broken Songs The Bad Homecoming (Waiting) St. Jimmy the Prankster Novocaine Rhapsody You GOTTA love the drum intro! Impossible Rebel Ashanti's Letterbomb Greenday Massacre Whatsername Just the last one I can't seem to track down... probably because the name is identical. Whatsername (Susanna Hoffs) by Dean Gray]This is the only place that I've ever found whatshername, but I'm not a huge fan of it xD
green day is Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Ker-BUMP I've always loved this album. Even the bonus tracks from 2008 that weren't made by Party Ben. http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4238241/Dean_Gray_American_Edit_2008_DELUXE_EDITION_%28NEW_TRACKS%29 Here's a torrent if anyone's interested. You guys were saying you were having trouble finding some tracks. By the way, the official name of that last track is "Whatsername (Susanna Hoffs)" with the parenthesis.
iloveyouisntenough Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 haha I'm not a hug fan of these songs, but then again, we are comparing them to the original Green Day versions. Out of all of them, I think St.Jimmy the Prankster is my favorite though
jos_whatsername Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 hmm.. i dont like american jesus way too much technology inside. i'm listening to novocaine rhapsody now.. at first i was like "why do they love the drum intro, thats simple, i can do that as well!" and then tre started doing those craaazy things with the bass drum (his foot) and i was like " oh. okay." i dont really know what to think about these . yes, they sound pretty good, but.. there are other bands in there, so i have to prefer the just-green day-ones.. y'know? but i like the way they're mixed + edited. Edit: The speed-up version of wmuwse in "green day massacre" sounds good, but it makes the song sound really happy and stuff and that's not what it's about.
poisonoak Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 is it weird that i actually sing along to Dr.Who On Holiday? especially the part that goes "Dr.Whooo hey!" lol
green day is Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Discuss bonus tracks? Whatever one was remixing Time of your Life (I remember the sound but I can't recall the name XD) was pretty good, WOBD Dance remix was gay, Country Basket was hardly remixed, and "Green Day Triple Tracker" I never really listened to all the way through, but I know it's a remix of BOBD/WOBD.
Punx89 Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 wow I ve never heard of these songs, some of them are good..
alaniluau Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 American Edit is great! I really enjoy hearing how Dean Gray manipulates the songs to make them into something different.
green day is Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 American Edit is great! I really enjoy hearing how Dean Gray manipulates the songs to make them into something different. *cough*PartyBen*cough
SixtiesJunkiie Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 i was actually just listening to one of the songs. i like it alright.
dookiak Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I agree with what some have said.. it isn't the original but it's.. interesting. Considering how they mix the songs together and all, I thought it was cool when the DJ's who made it performed it live (I think it was at Bootie in San Fransisco). They did all the mixing and stuff live so they could have fun with it. I do have the full album start to finish live, somewhere. I would have to dig through all of my Green Day material though. I haven't listened to it since it was released. *cough*PartyBen*cough Yeah, but you do have to give them credit for Dean Gray. I didn't catch the name the first time I heard it.
