Marlee Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I heard Brain Stew and jaded together on the radio....and then right afterwards they started talking about Billie on broadway for the week and played 21 guns AI cast version I was in love Does Foxboro Hot Tubs count? If so then I'd have to say 27th Ave Shuffle. WOAH really?!?! awesome!
waiting.a.lifetime Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 i've yet to hear waiting on the radio, or hitchin a ride. and i've heard Know Your Enemy a few times on my radio station, but not the one i listened to when i lived in vancouver. i almost never heard green day on that one; just 21 guns and holiday and bbobd a few times. :/
PunkRocks and Coke Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 probably East Jesus Nowhere or Geek Stink Breath. Those songs just dont get played much here, oh and they hardly ever play Jaded but when they do and Billie says "got fucked up equilibrium" they dont cut out fuck.
gdpony Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I get happy when they play basket case or longview! Cause they usually play singles from american idiot
SixtiesJunkiie Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 hmm don't listen to the radio much, and when i do i listen to the old rock station (old rock as in pre-90s.) i guess the most rare i've heard would be Welcome To Paradise or Whatsername. I used to have a professor who's brother was a dj for some station here, and he'd give us extra credit if we called the station. So I called and asked him to play some old Green Day, and he played Private Ale for me. Best extra credit ever. fuck yeah!
Cym Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 the radio station near my mom's house plays a lot of the usual stuff, like American Idiot, Holiday, BOBD, Longview, Welcome to Paradise, etc., but I was pleasantly surprised one time around here when I heard She on the radio... I've NEVER heard it on the radio before, and I friggin LOVE that song! ^_^ I also heard Jaded ALONE... and I think once I heard The Saints Are Coming... I remember too that late at night I used to listen to this trucker's radio station all because their opening song was Espionage ^_^
call_debbie Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Yep. KROQ and Starr love Green Day. BSB played on one of those maybe a year ago or so? I for the life of me can't remember whether it was KROQ or Star but I was pretty when I heard it. Ha. BSB ?? do you have the video ?
shit Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 BSB ?? do you have the video ? Of the song playing on the radio?
call_debbie Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Of the song playing on the radio? yes . and BSB ... is it refering to Backstreet Boys ?? ( correct me if I am wrong )
Silverlight Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 practically ANY Green Day song is a rarity for me... only sometimes I might her BOBD, but other than that, none. And I am so jealous of all you people who get to here the Tubbies on the radio!
Francois Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Here in South Africa we don't have satellite radio, so there aren't many radio stations. There are about 3 that play modern music. For some weird reason, I have heard Warning on 5FM a few times in the last couple of years.
cityof_lust17 Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Gah my radio stations suck here. I rarely get ANY Green Day but when i do i think the rarest i heard was....Welcome to Paradise and Longview. I use to hear The Saints are Coming a lot...and Working Class Hero. Oh and when it first came out Know Your Enemy and then they stopped like after 2 weeks I need to move!
abhishek Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 only ever heard holiday, 21cb and 21 guns. they only play the singles and nothing pre-American Idiot
Jessayy Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Basket Case and The Saints are Coming are about as rare as I have ever gotten ....
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 The radio stations in my country LOVE all the 21CB singles (the quality radio stations, not those that play Lady Gaga, Spears, Bieber and stuff like that), especially "Know your enemy". They also play Jesus Of Suburbia (I hear that playing at least once every three days ), BOBD, Longview, She, AI, BURNOUT :eyebrow:, Holiday, Basket Case and WMUWSE, very very often... In general they like the "new stuff"... But I've never heard any song of Nimrod, Insomniac or Warning ( I don't even talk about the albums from lookout!records because the radio producers don't even know them)... The only radio stations that play Green Day's older stuff are some -so called- indie stations that play good rock songs that weren't known... But unfortunately there are none of them in my town
Jessayy Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 They also play Jesus Of Suburbia (I hear that playing at least once every three days ), I am moving to greece
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I am moving to greece There's a spare bedroom in my house
Zero. Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Hitchin' a Ride and Jesus of Suburbia and Mother Mary... oh and Last Night on Earth
sampy Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Two years ago finnish radio channel called Radio Rock had The Pedestrian on their playlist, so I heard it maybe two times on those days. Radio Rock plays a lot of Green Day, and last year Peacemaker was like a single for them, they played it like once in an hour. But maybe the rarest one is Geek Stink Breath, they played it when they annouced (last February) that Green Day was coming to Finland this summer They play also songs like Working Class Hero and Brain Stew, but they're not so rare, because they play them so often!
Mar Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I heard JOS once, and Brain Stew/Jaded, which is kind of uncommon.
Sarah.Scumbag Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I once heard the remix of Blvd of Broken Dreams & Wonderwall on the radio, other than that, I don't really listen to the radio
GDJonny Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I once heard JOS on the radio, but they cut it down to about 6mins...not on.
CzechIdiot Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 JAR Hitchin a ride NGFL Minority Know your enemy The ones I hear every day: holiday, Basket case Bobd WMUWSE Longview She Welcome to paradise When I come around Jos American idiot Good riddance 21 guns LTAG ect... That's la radio. Wow youre so lucky for that radio!
×HeartGrenade× Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Here in Slovenia we haven't so much Green Day songs that they are played on radio. But i heard Working class hero.
