Seems kind of hammy of him to call Billie at his home and record it on webcam with the intention to post it online.

I mean a personal phone call between them as friends would be fine.

But this seems more along the line of "Hey, let me show the interents that I know Billie Joe! Herp derp"

he runs a music version of facebook called Modlife and video chats from time to time and I'm sure this was during one of those sessions where hes drunk after a show or before a show and just said "hey lets call billie and see what he's up to"

there was no intention of "o hai i knows green day!!!!1!1!!"

if u know blink-182 at all you know that they are known for the stupid shit that they do

Why would Tom post a video to brag about knowing Billie Joe? I don't really think he'd feel the need to do that, ahahaha... That's just a silly thought, it's basic common knowledge that they know each other - and that they know that people know that they know each other.

He obviously did it just for fun, he jokes around a lot like that, always has, and I don't see Billie Joe being one to get annoyed over having Tom call him for laughs.

So he did it on a live stream- still, he's still broadcasting it to a ton of people who would (and did) record it. When you do something on a camera, you must assume it will be saved and spread. That is how the internet works, and Tom is a smart guy; I'm sure he knows that.

I did not say he was an ass, that would be an overreaction, I said 'hammy'. Being a ham as in, he was putting on a show for his internet audience. He knew he'd get a good response from viewers by mentioning another popular musician, so that is what he did. He could call Billie anytime, they are friends, but he chose to do so as publicly as he could.

And as far as "being known for all the stupid shit they do" really does not justify any of their disagreeable actions.

Funny or fake i think its funny, i personally love blink and anything that has to do with them.As for the collab as much as i like both band, i like them for different reason and their styles don't overlap very well.

Modlife is awesome, the guys in AVA always do live streams on the site, and Tom decided to give Billie Joe a call during one obviously just for laughs... I don't see how this makes him a douchebag, but whatever.

Also, I don't think that Joey doesn't know who Tom is, I think he was just a little confused because, even though Tom and Billie are buddies, he probably just wasn't expecting to get a call from him. He might have even thought it was a prank or something at first so he was just reassuring himself by asking a couple more times who he was speaking to, that's all.

Oh, that's cool. I know that Tom rubs a lot of people the wrong way for a few different reasons, but I just didn't see how making a phone call for laughs is all that bad. A couple of other people on here seem to have gotten a tad fired up about this, when it's really nothing, just fun times, and I'm sure if BJ answered the call he wouldn't have cared.
