Sanity Loan Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 It's just starting for me (tape delay - it starts at 9:00am no matter where you are). So I guess by everyone's posts it starts at about 20 minutes into it? I've got it recording (and in HD ) my friend texted me at 7 to remember to watch it but i slept through both (i just woke up) so can someone post a clip? Sanity Loan Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 "The year's best Musical - Memphis" -- Bull shit MeredithI wish the band would perform "Macy's Day Parade" next year - or sometime - during the parade (even though the song isn't about that)
Moffie Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 "The Year's best Most Predictable and Safe Musical - Memphis" I wish the band would perform "Macy's Day Parade" next year - or sometime - during the parade (even though the song isn't about that) Fixed.
mallorymaloney Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Loved the entire performace! I also loved when the cast all looked up at the aerial camera and when John turned his guitar around at the end.Totally took me by surprise! ^^ And was it just me, or was Tony not present ...? And it sucked that they had to lip synch. You can tell because they weren't wearing any mics, haha. Although they managed the lip synching a fuck of a lot better than the others --- Namely The Sing Off group!

Although they managed the lip synching a fuck of a lot better than the others --- Namely The Sing Off group! They did? It's currently converting to mp4 (I won't upload the RAW file - its like 500mb). Then I'll upload it. Should be like 20-30 minutes. Then I'll upload to YouTube

Aspen tweeted that she and Tony weren't performing nor were any of the swings. Theo wasn't there either. And it sucked that they had to lip synch. You can tell because they weren't wearing any mics, haha. Although they managed the lip synching a fuck of a lot better than the others --- Namely The Sing Off group! Yeah. It's actually the first time that they did lip synch any performance that they've done.

jetsrule128 Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 anyone think the parade Told Tony not to go on cause he would scare kids? it's the only reason i could think of
Peace and Rainbows Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 the premformance was actually pretty good besides the fact everybody looked fricking freezing

Tripe Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Thanks for the upload! I enjoyed it this morning, but I did miss Tony and Theo. I liked how the cast looked up at the camera at the end, too! I actually thought the Memphis performance was pretty good. You know what sucked massively? Elf.
E!!i Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Here is my YouTube video I don't like the voice of the first guy cause he sounds like a boygroup singer who's that?
sampy Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 First it looked like they were performing it with playback. Were they?
plaid ducky Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Let's answer all these pesky questions at once: 1) Yes. They lip synced to the song. Many reasons that the parade does this but a few of them is because it's noisy and early. 2) Yes, Tony and Theo were not there as well as none of the swings. I believe that cast members could opted out of the parade if they wanted it. I doubt they were asked *not* to be there. 3) The order of the solos for the first verse were: Gerard (Ensemble, Representative of Jingletown/Too Much Too Soon and Rock & Roll Boyfriend understudy) Wallace (Ensemble, Favorite Son) Miguel (Ensemble, Rock & Roll Boyfriend and Representative of Jingletown/Too Much To Soon understudy) Libby (Ensemble, Heather and Extraordinary Girl understudy) Declan (Ensemble, Will and Rock & Roll Boyfriend understudy) Featured for the second verse were: Andrew (Ensemble, St. Jimmy and Favorite Son understudy) Leslie (Ensemble, Whatsername and Heather understudy) & Ben (Ensemble, Tunny and Favorite Son understudy) Brian (Ensemble) & Declan (see above) Chase (Ensemble, Johnny understudy) The next chorus was John (Johnny) and Rebecca (Whatsername) with Michael (Will) & Mary (Heather) and Stark (Tunny) & Christina (Extraordinary Girl) joining them. John and Michael did the guitar solos.
