I'd like to try this. I have a couple of rough sketches of designs lying around, but nothing near finished yet.

I suppose I can just use existing logos? Considering I'm drawing, so it will never be exactly the same. Or do I have to deliberately change little things?

Yes please at least include the title, the date would be nice too but at least the title needs to be in it

I'd change them up just a little so that there is no copyright infringement

for coping GD's existing logos. The winning logo's will be printed on t-shirts

to be sold on the event's web site once it is up and running

I have sketched up an idea but I still need to scan it into my computer and add the text to it. Hopefully will have the time to get it done soon.

This is the first I hear anything about this idea, but I love it. I'll be happy to have GDA help get the word out about the project, this contest, and anything else we can do to help make this happen.

It took me while but I just came up with an idea!

this is such a crazy coincidence

in 2005 when I was on myspace, I organized a "National Green Day Marathon" a day in which everyone listens to every GD album and watch as many GD videos that they can. I managed to get 50 people to do it lol

but I also chose May 28th... I can't remember the significance, but there is one related to Green Day, I know.

well first of all..i LOVE this idea from the first time i saw a thread about it

i'm working on something, idk if i should continue...if i do it'll be lots of work but in the same time i would be pleasure to do it. the thing is that i don't have so much free time..but if anyone thinks that is worth it i do my best to find some gap between my classes

I wanted to check with you all to see what you think before I make this decision. I have been getting messages

asking me to extend this contest through till the end of December so that some people that are in school right

now would have the time to enter this contest. I want to give everyone a chance so I'm thinking this may be a good

idea. Besides I think after the holidays is when everything for this event will really start coming together and really

start to take off for the May 28, 2011 event. I want to extend it but want to make sure it'll be ok with everyone if

I do extend this through the end of Dec. 2010.....So let me know your thoughts on this before I make a decision

on this...........

I vote for extending the deadline to the end of December. Personally, I still need to finish my letter for the words I might have ate project that's due by the 1st. I think it's a good idea. Maybe more people will decide to enter this way.
