They do a great job with some songs, but with others... no. They would probably do a song like Good Riddance or September, maybe BoBD if they're in a really courageous mood, and probably completely pull it out of its context and take the power out of the song. And someone who ruins September is not a friend of mine! Then again, it would still be sorta nice I'm open to either options.

They're amazing singers and I'd love to see them take on a Green Day song SO much. As for Green Day getting more haters, why the fuck do you care? Not everyone likes Green Day and you don't like every artist. Someone else's opinion on your favourite band shouldn't affect you at all. Also, there are SO many awful covers of Green Day songs out there so if you really don't like it then you can choose to ignore it etc etc etc. the Glee cast barely ever ruin songs (except for when jesse attempted to sing bohemian rhapsody that was embarrassing no one can sing freddie) and Green Day songs aren't so special or difficult to sing so it would sound good etc etc. Yeah whatever leaving now.

It just kinda sucks when a bunch of people are singing a song that Glee covered and they don't even know who it's originally by, and I think that would piss me off a lot if it were a Green Day song...

I mean talk about misleading...since when have you been walking around high school then suddenly you all burst into song? On the GD side I wouldn't be very happy if they attempted to cover one...like they attempted to cover Sing. And accidentally killed it in the mean time.

Yes because they're obviously endorsing the fact that every High School is like that. It's a fucking telly programme for fuck's sake. It hasn't destroyed a whole generation of kids. I for one think if kids would watch it, watch all those people sing because they love to and just all the storylines (well the good ones i'm going to ignore finn/rachel and will schuester) yeah it's just a great show that shows it's okay to not be cool or succesful as long as you're doing what you love. I love how people who hate Glee have obviously never watched it.

Think about the million viewers the show has, and how much promotion the song and band would get. Which is a good thing. C'mon you would hate if they made a cover of it, but a broadway musical is perfectly fine haha. Also, what could be worse than avril lavigne covering green day

I think it would be fun if they did a Green Day song. Although I have to agree their version of Sing had far to much plaid in it for my liking. They all looked like lumberjacks.

The actual show itself really isn't that bad. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I really wouldn't mind if Glee did cover a Green Day song. Maybe 'cause it's the fact that it's a Green Day song, but yeah.
