lololol Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Definitely Dookie, I just prefer the tone of the guitar so much more, and the bridge sounds a lot more organised. Not to mention the production quality of all the songs on Dookie is just far better, the only thing I dislike about Kerplunk is the production quality (I know it's because it was a much lower budget, but it still bothers me).
Kristen M Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 The best part of the song (which is the bridge in my opinion) sounds far better on the dookie version
Nzap Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 As much as I want to like the Kerplunk version more, I have to admit that the Dookie version is more friendly to my ears and more enjoyable to listen. Still I occasionally listen and enjoy the Kerplunk version because it's more rough and "punk"
AvengedVampyre Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I have a soft spot for the Kerplunk version as its currently my favourite Green Day album =]
JDookie Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Dookie's version is better but I prefer the Kerplunk's one!
elephantstone Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I just prefer the sound on Dookie. In fact, I'd like nothing more than for Green Day to re-record 1039/SOSH and Kerplunk in a proper studio. Would be superb.
desertrose Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I like them both, but Kerplunk version is my personal favorite.
Malleus Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Dookie's version because I listened to it more and just got more used to it.
petros Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 I voted the Dookie version cause it's more clear and it was that version that I heard first!
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 I prefer the dookie one...more ''clear''...
