I mean, it's not until the summer so there's plenty of time to get more people. Also you want to keep interest! But yeah, everyone should try and spread the word and invite all their GD friends to the FB event too! I just think it'd be easier if all the people from one country focus mostly on getting people for their group. It just makes it easier. God, I'm really not coherent tonight. well I think people in each country putting this in their green day fan sites yknow

Well I have to say personally I'm not too happy with the direction the name poll is heading in. :lol: It is the most fair thing to do though. And Best Thing In Town is not clear at all for anyone but Green Day fans, which are the people that are participating. It's a cool name, yes, but it only works if it's a thing amongst Green Day fans, and in the OP it was said that you guys wanted to reach the media etc. Anyways, that's just my opinion and I'm not the one running the project... sorry if I get a little too worked up about it, haha. The Japanese holiday is called Greenery Day, not Green Day. I dont think you are stupied and I have never said the name was going to be Green Day Celebration Day It is a greeen day celebration day! the name is gonna be difrent I appresiate your oppinion. And there is gonna be so much things thats gonna show what this really is and we will have alot people contacting media. I just dont like the name and as the creator of this Event you got to understand my conserns I dont wanna represent a name I dont like thats why Im saying this Im not gonna not lissen to you because I do! but I wanna stand for something I dont like... about the holiday Its japanese prenounsination they often put that ending to english words.

Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 the idea is AMAZING and I hope Green Day will notice this. and I also hope some people will show up in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia on the 28th of May. as for the date, I'm musch more comfortable with this Saturday, than with 4/20 'cause many people go to school (me too-.-) or work during the week, and on the weekends most people are free to come I guess. Green For A Day's the best name for our celebration day<3 I hope it wins

Haha, okay. I was just trying to make clear that a functional name isn't always good-sounding, or a good-sounding name functional, sorry if that sounded a bit harsh. Yes, I completely understand how you wouldn't want a name you don't like for an event you came up with. Haha, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being too obnoxious about what I think. Wikipedia has a specific disclaimer on the page for Green Day saying "Green Day, not to be confused with Greenery Day, the Japanese holiday". The name of the holiday is definitely Greenery Day, not Green Day. But it doesn't really matter
