The Thespian Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I believe that this tour was their best so far but it may not necessarily be their peak just because it was the best so far.
alligunn86 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 One of the things I love Green Day most for is their live shows. I haven't seen a band yet who is anywhere close to beating Green Day live. Ever since I've gotten into them I thought they were amazing live, they can only get better from here. I just wish I could have seen them since they've started touring and gone to one show each tour just to see how they changed. This
FiaKels Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Green Day present the modern definition for "always upping one's game." They've set themselves to such a high standard, that they can only go up and up and up. Every time they seem to hit a peak, they just go higher and blow my mind even more. I'm counting down the indefinite days to the next tour already.
Gwen Stacy Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I've only seen them on this tour but they seem to have hit a peak as thus far. I would love to see them top themselves like they always manage to find a way to do.
Lauren Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 They've definitely learned how to entertain a huge crowd while still making it feel intimate. I realize they can't do all the stuff I want 'cause there's a lot of nonhardcore fans in the crowd. I just wish they talked more. I liked it when they talked in between songs. and not just Billie! I wanna hear Mike and Tre talk, too. I liked watching Woodstock and how Billie pretty much just sang but Mike talked a lot!
jake0911 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I have been to 26 or 27 Green Day concerts over the past 19 years, starting in 1991. Green Day has always been at the top of their game. When Green Day does a concert they leave their heart and more out on there on the stage. They always give all they have to the fans. Different elements may have changed in their live performances but that comes with experience. I have never been to a Green Day concert that they didn't give their all and leave it all out there on the stage for there fans. Green Day has never held back anything. They have always been at the top of their game if you ask me. Green Day has,is and always will be at the top of their game, and as for peaking there isn't a peak high enough in this world to measure Green Day's performance. So there is no way to measure their performances. No one concert is the same as the last or will be the same as the next. They are all unique. I contribute that to the fact that every audience is different, and Green Day treats them as such. Because their concerts are not just about Green Day it's also about every single audience member. We are all a part of their performances, and they make sure we all feel that experience. Green Day acts like they are just as blown away by their fans as we are by them. They feed off of us just like we feed off of them in their concerts. It's a symbiotic relationship that Green Day has with their fans during their concerts. When Green Day gets out on the stage it's blood, sweat, tears, attitude, and music all wrapped up in an I don't give a fuck mentality. How could you possibly measure that? I've read several of your posts about your struggles and about Green Day and I can tell your passion for their music. I can literally feel it in the words that you write about them. I love reading all of your posts. I also saw the video & pictures and I read on this forum about how you got to meet Billie Joe earlier this month and I honestly have to say that no one deserves it more than you. I want to thank you for your service to our Country and I hope one day you will also be up walking and out of that wheelchair. I have read on this forum about the incredible things you have done for other Green Day fans like giving away tickets to Green Day's concerts to fans who couldn't afford to go and the Green Day shirts you made and just gave them away to Green Day fans for free. The fact that you are not a rich person yet you share what little you have with others, you are truly an inspiration to us all. I can tell just by reading the words on most of your posts how amazing of a person you are. Green Day is lucky to have such an amazing fan as you.
