I'm just gonna admit it and say that I don't get it. At all.

I don't know if it's a reference I'm missing, or if there's supposed to be a video link or somethin', but I'm lost. 'It was a Green Day in the Big House'? Again, I feel like I'm missing the reference ... :pinch:

Aside from the fact Green Day's mentioned, obviously.

the Michigan/Michigan State game was this weekend and State won (dammit) so it was a Green Day because State's colors are White and Green

and now State is 6-0

I love how people on here do not understand sports what-so-ever.

1) College Football: Michigan St beat Michigan (big rivalry)

2) Michigan State's colors are green (and white)

3) ESPN always uses cheesy headlines - and this happened to make sense

4) 'Welcome to Paradise' because it was a 'green day' for Michigan St (b/c of their colors) and because the team is now 6-0 (undefeated) meaning that they are "in paradise"

Dude, thank you for putting the disclaimer in the subject, or I would've been freaking out! I like this, though. Except for the fact that in our work poll, I had UM beating MSU.:lol:

Ah, so the Green Day puns weren't intentional.

And yeah, I'm not a sports person. At all. Nor do I understand/follow any of them.

I hate football. I hate soccer. I hate basketball. I hate baseball. And, yes, I'm Canadian, but despite this, I even especially hate hockey.

Is it sad that I got excited because the title said 'don't get excited'?

you're not the only one.

So glad Michigan State won. GD references or not, it was a great blow out against Michigan. Not that I'm happy they're 6-0 because they beat Wisconsin last week, but really really glad they beat MI!!!!
