Insomniac45 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Only of You, Android, In The End, Panic Song (One of my favorites now), No Pride, Jinx/Haushinka, Last Ride In, Fashion Victim, Macy's Day Parade, Letterbomb, Peacemaker, See The Light, Oh Love, Baby Eyes, and 99 Revolutions
Yaz. Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I've recently been obsessed with Jackass. I wake up with it in my head
musso_kn Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I never really cared for Before the Lobotomy but it is fast becoming one of my favourites on 21st Century Breakdown. I especially like the last minute or so, when the lyric 'dreaming, I was only dreaming' is repeated over and over again. There's something very doomy yet simultaneously uplifting about the ending.
AnonyWolf Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 ''Troublemaker'' is pretty much this idea for me in a nutshell. Album came out, I dispised the song the first few run-throughs, and now I can't imagine hearing the album without the song. It, as you might say, grew on me. As for other songs, I'd have to say ''Fashion Victim'', ''Are We The Waiting'', ''Letterbomb'' [to the point where I completely forgot the song existed on the album], ''Rest'', and ''Espionage''. Other than that, I generally enjoyed Green Day's music the moment I heard it. Well, mostly. I still don't dig Dookie, ''Ashley'', or ''Dirty Rotten Bastards''. But, that's a different thread for a different time.
JardyOfSuburbia Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I always liked it, but recently Rusty James is the song I will turn to when I want to thrown on a Green Day song.
JIGD13 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 No One knows grew on me recently NIGHTLIFE. I'll leave now. You don't have to I love Nightlife
The Forgotten Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 NIGHTLIFE. I'll leave now. It's a nice novelty song... I like it too
NowhereBound Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Kill the DJ (I really did like it initially, but then I felt like the chorus was repeated too much, but now I love it again!) Panic Song (It's one of my favorites off of Insomniac now!) Nightlife Wow! That's Loud
Jon Benjamin Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I enjoy all of green day's albums but recently I've started appreciating Shenanigans and Insomniac a LOT more
OneSongInFrench Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Oh Love, for sure, Oh Love grew on me BIG time.
GreenDayxWeezer Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 When I Come Around. Everytime that song popped up from Dookie or International Superhits, I just skipped it because I was so tired of hearing it. Then one day I felt like hearing that song and now it's one of my favorites. Ironic, huh?
Connor Finlayson Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 The entire album Warning. I hated it at the beginning, But after a while it has became one of my favourite albums.
scottpilgrim10 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I used to think Walk Away was awful, but now I think it is great. Even though BJA says walk away a seemingly impossible amount of times during the track, it is just so powerful and catchy
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I can't believe I am saying this...but since seeing Cuatro I have a new umm...appreciation for Nightlife. I always liked the guitar solo in the middle of the song but despised the rest of it and therefore never listened to it. However recently I have started listening to it and maybe I was slow the first time round but I think the song may be referring to drugs, as in Lady Cobra is personifiying the effects of drugs on the narrator who is literally "in my blood" and therefore "the devil on your shoulder" etc. It actually makes for very haunting lyrics if that was the intention. Anyway seeing the guys playing it on Cuatro made it stick in my head and yeah...no more skipping it
stories and songs Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Troublemaker. I HATED that song the first time I heard it, but now I think it is so catchy.
kathhh8 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Most of 39/smooth & Kerplunk Their new stuff is still growing on me Kill the DJ has grown alot since and Nightlife will definatley need to grow for me
J of Suburbia Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Brutal Love I used to skip it every time I played Tre or my iPod was on shuffle but I love it now!
